and i want to buy it but when i search for a way to change the serial key in the app i don't find any way

first of all is there a way

second will the reinstall of the app solve the problem

    and thanks

    Hi!

You may purchase a legitimate license through this link <https://secure.nch.com.au/cgi-bin/register.exe?software=wavepad>

And once your purchase has been completed, you will receive e-mails containing your billing invoice and registration details.

You may simply uninstall the existing copy you have now, then follow the instructions on the e-mails you will receive so that you may run the most updated version of WavePad with your newly purchased license.

Hi, you may send us a the sample source file so that we may also diagnose and check what would be the best way to address the concern with the audio.

How does the reverb work on Mixpad please?
I'm just trying to set it for a very slight reverb, but not one of the presets.
I highlight the track, load "reverb" from the add effect button on the reverb window, and set the decay and diffusuion at 10 each (leaving the wet and dry at 0db)
Do I press exit on the window to load this?  Seems to be the only possible option.
On playcback it gives the wrong sound, and back on the reverb tab it's got decay at 100 and diffusion at 20.
Any help please.   Clearly missing a trick.
    Many thanks.

Hi! Now that you've added/enabled a reverb plugin for the track, you will need to set/adjust the "WET" signal (the signal where the reverb is being applied to) at over 0dB.

You may also select one from the available presets and then adjust the parameters as needed.

Here's a stereo track I imported to MixPad which then magically turned into mono:   https://www.mediafire.com/file/0e175855plkvrv4/Wayne+Cochran+-+Goin'+Back+To+Miami.flac/file

    Thanks for sending this over.

I've downloaded the file and imported it onto MixPad. Without changing any track settings, the file was detected as a stereo clip, and the playback played in stereo.

If you refer to this video:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-YPacYh2Ar7KTr34mSfV-JdvxKQSs93D/view?usp=sharing

You can see that the level meter is split into two thinner bars which represent the left and right channel, thus, confirming that the file is playing back in stereo.

What version of MixPad are you using?

It's pretty clear to me that the problem is not the audio file itself, but an issue with the software.  I'm importing stereo music tracks to an "Untitled Track" timeline, and then after it's loaded that stereo track sounds mono during playback.  I've done nothing to the track except import it.  I feel like there's a setting I've missed or something!

    Hi!

Yes, we do understand that the file is in true stereo. But it would help if we would work with the actual file you are working with so that we may attempt to reproduce this matter in a setting that's as close to your environment as possible.

Because by default, if you load a stereo audio clip onto the MixPad timeline, it should automatically playback as a stereo clip.

Is there a method(s) to easily remix the WAV files?  I have found it very tedious/laborious to manually match up the WAV bars, and Not Screw Up the Flow (i.e., the Melody, etc.)  of the track.

    Hi!

When you say remixing, do you mean you have the individual instrument/audio elements and wish to combine them as one song/piece playing altogether?

HELP!  After I load stereo music tracks into MixPad, they sound like mono when I listen to them with headphones.  What am I doing wrong??

    Hi!

It's possible that the track you loaded the file onto is in MONO mode.

You may change this by clicking on the wrench icon on the track which contains the audio clip and make sure the track is set to STEREO

Please refer to the attached screenshot

When saving a recording as an MP3, a huge chunk of it gets cut off. For example, a 1.5 minute recording saves only 9 seconds and deletes the rest.

I can save as a WAV, but even when I do that and then save as an MP3, it cuts off more than half of it.

I upgraded to the latest version last week. Would appreciate your help.

Hi! You can upload the WavePad project along with all the project data files so we can test this out on our end.

You may use a cloud storage service (Google Drive/DropBox/WeTransfer/etc.) of your choice then please send us the transfer link so that we may be able to access the files. Please also include the original unedited recording.

If you wish for your files to remain private, you may open a support ticket through this link https://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

  11. Hi!

You can only install the program on the same drive where your OS is installed.

While the program is restricted to being installed on your main boot drive, you may place project files on an external SSD/HDD for better performance optimisation.

I've just update Mac to Big Sur 11.3 and now my SoundTap can't access the virtual audio device!                                                                                                                                        Extremely frustrating!       I don't know much about computers but have followed all the prompts.

    Who can advise me please?

    Hi,

Kindly do the following step by step:

    1. Uninstall SoundTap from your Mac.
    2. Navigate to Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > HAL
    3. If there is an existing folder for SoundTap, kindly delete that along with all of its contents.
    4. Restart your computer
    5. Proceed to re-install the program.

is there a way to download an older version? I did the most recent update and it requires me to pay for a new version. I just bought the master's edition less than one year ago. Now I cannot find my old version 12.70 is there somewhere I can get that version.

    Hi!

What's the e-mail address you used when you purchased your license? What month did you buy your license last year?

This is so we can send you the appropriate installer version that works with your purchase.

    Hi Fiona,

Thanks for sending this over. I've taken a listen to it and I've imported it to both WavePad and a more in-depth spectral audio editor as well.

I understand that there are some parts wherein it seems that the vibrations (especially for louder and lower notes on the piano) seem to be more apparent, but unfortunately, due to the overall resolution of the audio recording, making surgical adjustments to it would only sound unnatural and would be very obvious.

For this case, I would suggest that you import the file on WavePad and apply these subtle compressor settings just so that sudden volume spikes can be minimized, and there is an overall control in the dynamics.

Applying a subtle effect on the entire thing to generally improve its quality would be better than surgically focusing on a specific part and making the adjustments obvious.

Thanks for sharing such a special recording of your daughter's performance!

Is it possible to change the key signature using MixPad? Is there an addon available for such action?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Unfortunately there is no option to set the key signature in MixPad projects -- but as we further develop more MIDI capabilities, adding options to set key signatures will definitely follow as we progress.

If you wish to make a formal suggestion to our developers, you may refer to this link:

Hi - I'm completely new to sound editing so please bear with me. I have an old mp3 recording of my daughter playing the piano that I'd like to clean up and use as the music track to a dance video of her sister that has just been professionally filmed.  The piano playing is good and appropriate music for the dance but there are some jarring vibration sounds on some notes (sorry this is so vague, I'm not sure how to even describe them properly) that I'd love to remove, as they distract from the recording quality but I don't know how to do it.  It's not possible to re-record the music and I need to submit it very quickly, so I'm asking here if anyone could advise me on what elements of WavePad I could try using to improve things.  I know this is a very clumsy request but needs must!  Thanks very much in advance for any help from anyone as to how I can soften the occasional 'jar' ...

    Hi!

You may send us the file by using a cloud storage service (Google Drive/DropBox/WeTransfer/etc.) of your choice then please send us the transfer link so that we may be able to access the files.

We'll need to hear the audio to gauge what possible methods can be done to restore/improve the state of the recording. You may post the link here or send a private message.

Back in 1971, my brother recorded my senior year band concert.  I played the slush pump (trombone).  It took place in the gymnasium on the floor.  The mics were on the stage a long way from the music.  Because it was recorded so far away, it wasn't exactly stereo.  At one point for some dumb reason I just eliminated one track, thus making it mono.  Would it be possible to copy the one track to the other on the same mp3?  Can you do such a thing?

    Hi,

In theory, duplicating on mono file then fully panning one track to the left and panning one track to the right then exporting it as a stereo would technically turn it into a stereo file, but it won't have the same stereo audio image as a true stereo file.

If there's absolutely no way to retrieve the lost track/channel, your best bet would be to do the steps mentioned earlier and then use a third party stereo widening/imager plugin, but this will only attempt to SIMULATE true stereo.

    Hi,

For further diagnosis, kindly send us a screenshot of your computer's system audio settings and the program’s audio settings, and the program’s software version you are currently running. If you are using any third-party hardware (ex. audio interface), kindly let us know which exact model it is as well.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
