    Tinny sound

A strange one that hasn't been reported before, AIR. Have you tested this on another PC? Please share a few clips that do this - for comparison. Upload to a free server, get a shared (public) link and post that link here or in private to me via Personal Messenger. Did you do this? With VP shut down, use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all files in these two folders. Then make the installation, which will restore the files that are necessary... "C:\Users\<PC name>\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" (or a similar path without the x86)
  2. No harm trying NVidia's "adjust video" settings, if available. But perhaps that card and VP just don't play well together. Pass the details along to tech support... https://tinyurl.com/2p8wcfhr
  3. Stuff changes under the hood, which may not be readily apparent. Or a feature that has changed may not be utilized by a specific user.
  4. https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html Could be tough to describe new features, as they may not be consistent. See your other thread for more on this.
  5. With each 32- or 64-bit install there can be slight differences in features and UI. At this writing, multiple audio tracks are taller when the three dots are available than when they are not. See this thread.
  6. The VP main page is offering the 64-bit incarnation just now. At times it's the 32. Use Dangerfreak's link to guarantee a 64 download.
  7. If the export A/R is 16:9, you will get this... 16x9.mp4 If it's 4x3, this... 4x3.mp4 Unless ZOOM is applied to the 4x3, there will be black bars because the images are of different sizes.
  8. In some 13.30 installs there's this new feature, and default audio track size is larger than in 10.16. Can't please everyone.😉 Make a request that the normal size be the same as in 10.16. https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html Expand_track.mp4
  9. No, if you chose to purchase, rather than subscribe, it's a one-time charge. Updates are free for six-months, but your purchased version won't expire. If you are already on the subscription plan, updates might be offered periodically without charge?? Contact the company for particulars... https://www.nch.com.au/software/buyfaqcontact.html
  10. On the linked page above, select Videopad and type in your registration code. You then should see what the one-time charge for the upgrade will be.
  11. Look here. Remember, you don't have to update if the release you have is doing the job. And newer versions can be tested for free, and run as a trial.
  12. Perhaps VP is scared of swordplay.😉 A half-dozen fully cached sequence snaps from your video were tested. Most succeeded. Re-encode to mp4 and it's a good bet that the snaps will be accurate every time.
  13. Two things to try... 1. Install the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. 2. When launching the program, right-click on the launch file and Run As Administrator. If neither of those measures help, come back here.
  14. Unlicensed releases are a trial. When that ends, certain features are disabled. There is a free VP release with limited features. If it balks at mp4 exports, try the AVI format. As mentioned, you can always reinstall your old release. If you don't have the installer, get it or any version within your six-month purchase grace window here and it should be licensed. Ignore virus warnings. Links to screenshots that you have uploaded to a (free) server can be posted to the forum. Clicking on the link takes users to the shot. On the server click Share or Get Link and be sure it's not "restricted." That's the Google Drive default. Change it to "Anyone with Link Can View." This is essentially the same as the procedure you used to share the project file. You don't need WinZip. 7zip is free. But it's likely that neither is needed: the right-click on a zip file, then Extract All works fine in Windows.
  15. There's never a mandate to update Videopad. A purchased copy doesn't expire. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Projects made on very recent releases may not be compatible with older; you haven't mentioned what version you have. (Look at the bottom-left corner of the window.) Even if unlicensed, newer versions can be test driven. Here's the latest. It plays the demo project well, so you should be able to load it and export during the trial period. Your older release can be reinstalled at any time. No need to uninstall. Just double-click the installer file.
  16. If your PC is running Windows, you should be able to transfer the ZIP to that machine, right-click on it and Extract All. Very fast and easy. If you need an unzipper for the phone, search for it here. No need to pay for a ZIP utility.
  17. Grabbed 20 snaps from three different MTS files that had been cached. All were dead on. The issue may have been fixed.
  18. The link contains the newly-built project - all the original files + a reconstructed VPJ - synchronized and multi-cam switched. Examine it for clues that, along with earlier suggestions, should help with future projects.
  19. Check this out. Come back if the issue persists. As for appdata, the links here should give insight.
  20. PLAY does get around ... with repeated installs.🙃 <--- This would be my preference.
  21. Tested here. Click this (top-right). Ignore the warnings...
  22. The portable folder is okay. Follow the four steps in my first post above when creating those. Syncing video that has no audio is tedious, but can be done by following the procedure outlined... Split only the audio track when singing begins. Then visually locate the same spot on the no sound video and make a split at that point. Drag the no sound video split so it's directly above the audio split. This can be made more precise by e-x-p-a-n-d-i-n-g the timeline. When sync looks close, drag left/right in very small increments. You may have to delete some no sound lead-in video to be able to drag the clip to the left. Had the hand clap been recorded in the silent clip, this would have provided a good sync point. For a short time, here is your Just the Two of Us project with all tracks in sync, and multicam switches. (The silent audio track was UNlinked from video and deleted.) Download, UNzip and run the VPJ to load it. A close examination will give clues to how it was done. You and your friend will soon get the hang of it. Good luck!
  23. Neon Moon was very easy, as the 'good' (side) video had the audio. Simply ignore the front video only file, which is poor. Save space; don't even import it. 1. Import both the WAV and the side video. 2. Right-click on an audio track and Sync Audio. Mute audio track 2. 3. Trim the IN and OUT points as desired with the red/blue brackets. 4. Add fades. Likely there's no need to use effects. Export. That's it.
  24. If the same routine was used for the other songs, import the WAV and the scratch w/audio, then right-click on the audio track and Sync Audio. Mute the scratch audio track. Then trim the INs and OUTs, enhance the scratch video with effects and export. That's it - if only that video is to be used. As mentioned earlier, if you want to use the no sound video, add it as well it to the timeline on (track 2) where it alone will take precedence over the scratch video. Then trim and drag it until it matches up with the audio. As mentioned earlier, if there's extra video prior to the song on the no sound clip, it may have to be deleted prior to sync, so the clip can be dragged to the left if necessary. Adjust color and balance, add fades, etc. To sync the track 2 video, first find the spot in the audio where singing begins and use the SPLIT button for audio track. Then try to locate the same spot on the no sound video and make a split on that track alone. Then drag the no sound video split so it's directly above the audio split. Syncing a track that has no audio will be made more precise by expanding the timeline. When sync gets close, drag left/right in very small increments. If the desire is to utilize both video sources, follow the multicam, or split/delete instructions above. And yes, those are the missing files.
