  1. It can be installed, tested, then 10.96 reinstalled.
  2. Do you see video when using this version?
  3. Checked on an I3 PC as well. Good as gold. Shut down Videopad. Using Windows Explorer (the file manager) to to "C:\Users\<account name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components." Delete all files in that folder. Reboot. Reinstall Videopad.
  4. Precisely. Nothing is amiss. What are your PC's specs? CPU/GPU/RAM Confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are up to date... https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10265.html Record_2021_11_05_12_10_16_494.mp4
  5. As normal as can be, using v10.96.
  6. Perhaps there was corruption? Prior to beginning a new project, Clear Unusued Cache Files, under OPTIONS | DISK tab. Take a minute to share the project and someone here will check it out. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  7. 'Upgrades' - often just maintenance releases - show up every few weeks. Installation is at the user's discretion, and may not be worth the effort. Yet that effort is minimal, as the program installs in just seconds. As mentioned earlier, you can always check out the latest to see if it offers anything of interest. Any release may have subtle changes each time it's installed. If a specific version is reinstalled, and an effect you like is gone, reinstall repeatedly. It may reappear.
  8. Install this version and let us know how it goes.
  9. Most folks install only once, so what's available is what they get. A reinstall might offer slightly different effects. There's no guarantee that an effect will be available in later releases if it hasn't proven popular, but most do persist. Mainstream features may vary slightly in their execution or availability over the years, as with any software. Every time a new incarnation of Windows is released, users must learn new ways to achieve the same results.😉 If an effect has been programmed that isn't available in another install or version, it will prompt that it cannot be rendered.
  10. That effect may not have been available in 10.88? As noted, effects can vary with each installation. Repeated installs of the very latest release may offer Pixie Dust. It's seen here in v10.96.
  11. Pixie Dust is an effect. Enable it, then preview in the effects window. Adjust the sliders for the desired presentation. To somewhat complicate matters, each time a specific release is installed (no need to re-download), there can be feature and subtle operational differences. In other words, Pixie Dust may not appear on a subsequent install, or other enhancements may. It's a marketing thing. Unlike some other software that has gone strictly subscription or where a fee is extracted to update a yearly release, with a patch or two along the way, VP is under constant development right up front. The latest can always be test driven as registered if no more than six-months have elapsed since purchase. After that period, the 'pro' versions will be an unlicensed trial. Retain your installer and registration. So it will take some hunting on your part to discover what's been added or changed. A treasure hunt...😅
  12. Steps to take. Install this version. Still no good? Close Videopad, the using Windows Explorer (the file manager) locate this folder and delete all files that it contains... "C:\Users\<your PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" Reinstall the Videopad version linked above. If issues persist someone will help if you take a few minutes to share several MOV and mp4 files that fail to load or load without sound. It's not a difficult process. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  13. What are the PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM? Restart VP and before loading the project, under OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files, then reload Share the project - either here or privately - and we'll get to the bottom of this. The process is easy. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  14. Let's have a look at one or two of those clips. Someone will check out the problem. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." VP 64-bit versions are available. Install and see if the black screen issue persists.
  15. Allegedly, this has been fixed in an upcoming release, so the initial export step won't be needed.
  16. Strange. Looking at your video, that's not the latest Videopad English version. Use the link above to download it. What are the specs for your PC: RAM/GPU/CPU? Confirm that the video driver is up to date as well as Direct-X... https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10265.html If the issue persists, do a thorough uninstall, including registry entries, using this free tool, then reinstall the latest VP.
  17. If you want the text title to appear superimposed over the video, place it on the next higher track. Drag the title clip, to position it. To extend the duration, drag the clips 'handles'... overlay.mp4 If instead you want it to stand alone, place it on the video track at the head of the project. Or split the track where you want the title to appear. Right-click on the title clip in the bin (top-left) and PLACE ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR. If you make a mistake press <ctrl-Z> to backtrack, step-by-step.
  18. If load problems persist, share that project. It can be done privately, as instructed above. No one else will see it.
  19. There's no A/R option in batch mode. But you can fiddle with this... Place each file on a separate SEQUENCE. Export sequence 1 in stretch mode. This is an extra set-up step to overcome what may be a bug. The exported result can be deleted. Go to Menu | FILE | EXPORT ALL SEQUENCES. Choose sequence mode and OK each prompt. The quick result should be that all sequences (your individual files) have STRETCH applied. A slower alternative... Place each file on a separate sequence. Apply the STRETCH effect to sequence 1. Switch to sequence 2, right-click and APPLY LAST USED EFFECT. Do the same for the remaining sequences. Export ALL. Leave the A/R choice at Letterbox, not Sequence mode.
  20. Even if unlincensed, the latest free version should be able to load and export your project as an AVI, if not an mp4. Or simply reinstall the licensed release you had before, or any release within the six-month grace period. Check here. If issues persist, share your project as described above. You have backed up, so the project should be valid. Good luck with your new software.
  21. Version 10.96 should be current. Uploading isn't difficult, and if you already have an MS or Google account the same ID and PW will get you in. Share, and someone here will be glad to check out the issue.
  22. Guess the point is being missed on why lossless is needed, aside from processing speed. You can stretch the files on the timeline with then export. The original 1minSource.mp4 that you linked has no glitches here. You won't get lossless, of course. If you can clearly specify steps to replicate the issue, do file a report... https://www.nch.com.au/software/bug.html
  23. Exported 1minSource.mp4 to 1080 in stretch mode and it again was perfectly clean...so am at a loss to explain the issue.
  24. Open Videopad. Under OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files, THEN load the project. For protection, when you save use Save Project File AS, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. What version of Videopad is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the problem persists, the best way to track it down is to share the project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix.
