Uberprutser
I have a zoom in effect on a clip and for the next clip in the time line I want to reverse the zoom effect (so zooming out) Is there a easy to do this without writing down the numbers? (I have already saved the effect)
borate
Right-click on the zoomed clip and COPY. Place the cursor where you want it, then in the timeline right-click | PASTE (insert) Reverse the copied clip.
Uberprutser
Reversing the effect probably still means entering the correct numbers at the keyframe
borate
Did you try it? Reversing the copy will pick up the end of the original clip seamlessly and go the other direction. No numbers need be entered.
Uberprutser
I don't want a copy of the video clip. Only a reverse copy of the effect.
borate
Once you have programmed the zoom in and saved. If applied to a reversed clip, the effect will reverse.
Uberprutser
I don't want to reverse the clip, but maybe I can use this to reverse the effect, save it, and then use it on the not reversed clip.
Nationalsolo
Hi I don't think this can be done. Reversing a clip with a Zoom In certainly makes the zoom play backwards but the EFFECT remains forwards in the effects editor for the reversed clip. So trying to save the effect as a reversed effect template doesn't work I've tried different things to try and get this to work but can't get the effect to save as a reversed template Nat
borate
The only an effect can be saved as a reversed zoom is to create it as such. Inversely copying the keyframe numbers (to the right of the sliders) and saving to a new template will accomplish that but, no, it's not necessarily "easy."
