Joining two clips together without a click

  • borate changed the title to Joining two clips together without a click

Deleting a segment, then joining the pieces is basic stuff, and there should be no 'click.'

With the project on the timeline, click and all, please share it.  Someone will look into the issue...

The process is easy, quick and can be done privately.  Just follow these steps...

  •     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
  •     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
  •     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
  •     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

          *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

Hi

Presuming you have now placed the beginning of your project at the end, but before ding this did you trim the very start?

and...No...There shouldn't be any click. Zoom into the join between the two clips (end-beginning) and look at the audio track closely..is there a little sound peak at the "click" position either just before it or just after it? It may be that you have a tiny sound left when you trimmed things. If so you can either re-trim or drag the track to eliminate it.

If this IS a sound artifact then do another trim and move elsewhere in a silent area of the project and see if a click appears. (Save project first of course or afterwards use the undo arrows to get back to where you were.)
