Glow effect bug?

Clovis Lowell

So I've used VideoPad for about five years now, and I've used the "glow" effect countless times. The way it used to work is when you added the effect to a PNG, it would ONLY apply the glow effect to the graphic, not the entire image. But now, it does the latter. It applies the glow affect to the ENTIRE image, not just the graphic.

I don't know if I've worded this correctly, so here's some examples: https://imgur.com/a/kxMqk4J

So is this a problem on my end? Or is this a bug that needs to be fixed?

Not seeing that here, as tested on your graphic with versions 10.17 and beta 10.18.  Install the current release.   What version is being used there?

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

Confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are up to date...  https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10265.html

Hi

Using VP 10.17 and I think earlier versions, the bright  parts of a png will glow... left original glow=0  Right glow =100%

The same thing happens with any image not necessarily a png.  I can't pick up your image so I am not sure what you mean by "graphic"
