LRH
Is there a way to add a background to the text clips. What I would like is the background be black and the words white so that the text stands out better in the video and can be seen easily.
borate
Several methods... For a standalone clip - not keyed over video - choose FULL BACKGROUND and pick a color. Then swipe the text and change it to a contrasting color. You can also key text over a blank clip. (Click ADD BLANK in the toolbar.)
Perry Matthews
I'd just go to Add Blank, pick whichever color of background that I want, drop that into the Track and then type whatever I want in Subtitles.
Nationalsolo
Hi Perrry ".......I'd just go to Add Blank, pick whichever color of background that I want, drop that into the Track and then type whatever I want in Subtitles. ......" That works fine but means an extra step...and uses two tracks. It's far simpler (as you are going there anyway) to designate a Full Background colour when you write the text. Subtitles are a another case. If so designated, subtitle text is placed in a coloured background which is equivalent to the Text Background setting when entering Text.
