Which is running text max length?

Hi,

I'm using a registered copy of Video Pad professional v8.53 

It seems to me that any string I add as text running from right to left is cut after its 135th character.

Is it true?

Can't replicate that in v8.72 (beta).  A single line of simple text was successful in excess of 175 lowercase characters.

However, this test was made with text running from left to right.  What version of VP is being used?   What alphabet?

The alphabet is Italian, the version of VideoPad is 8.53

In the string there were some accented words, but the problem persists even after I deleted them. Now the text string is the following (without ")

"Siamo a S.Lorenzo Nuovo (VT)        Questo bosco e stato donato al FFI che lo conservera senza mai tagliare alberi a scopo economico.   In questo modo la natura sara sempre piu rigogliosa.      Aiuta anche tu il FFI, puoi farlo anche con il 5x1000."

But it stops after visualizing (right to left)

Please note that it is displayed only half of the last "u".

Ran a right-to-left test of simple text with about 150 characters and all scrolled as programmed...

If you set the font size to 1 you can easily visualize all your stated text in a single line.........Centrally placed.....

Of course there is one main drawback......    as you can see above.

Increasing the font to a readable size then all the text can still be incorporated but must be split over several lines....

A single line of text , to be readable will depend on the font chosen and the character size deemed to be best readable. With Arial the maximum line length is about 75 characters at font size 4.

A Scrolling text can be of pretty well any length. I have checked this out with a text line of over 2000 characters and it scrolls quite normally. The text clip however must be of sufficient duration to enable the scroll to proceed at a readable speed.
