VOB file automatically converted to an empty AVI file on import

I try to import 6 VOB files in videopad. The first file converted immediately to an AVI file. The avi file plays in 0,5 sec. a black screen instead of the file of 21 minutes. What is going on? and how can I solve the problem

Upload a sample VOB that doesn't import correctly.  Use Dropbox, Google Drive, MS OneDrive or the like.  Make the link public and post it here.  Someone will check it out.

VideoPad will try convert the VOB file to AVI only if problems are detected in the file. For example, there are no enough keyframes or time stamp mismatch etc..

Please upload and share the file, we'll check it out.

I have the same problem.

I just downloaded version 8.00 and am trying to drag and drop a mp4 file and capture the audio.

VideoPad converts it into a blank avi file.

I tried this five times, and it kept happening.

Was a solution uncovered? If so I haven't found it.

The mp4 plays just fine with an appropriate player.

I would love to upload the mp4 so you can check it out. How do I do that?

Try converting the problematic mp4 to another format with Prism and see whether it will then load OK.
