  1. Hi,

Select avi as the file type, then click the encoder options button. Select H264(native) for the video and mp3(native) for the audio. Now click the video compression settings button and set the quality to 28. This will give a clear recording.

  2. 1- Save any pending transcriptions, right-click them and select "Save as DCT".
2- Uninstall Express Scribe. Then, delete a folder called "Scribe" from these locations:
    - C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\
    - C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\
    - C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\
(if you can't find the ProgramData or AppData folders, set Windows to show hidden files and folders as per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files)
3- Restart the PC. Then, download and reinstall Express Scribe using the software version covered by your license, and enter your registration code.

  3.  You may try the following:
Uninstall MixPad, then delete 3 folders named "MixPad" and 1 named "Components" from these locations:
    **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\MixPad\
    **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\MixPad\
    **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components
    **C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\MixPad\
**If you can't find any of the folders, just continue.

If you can't find the AppData folder, set Windows to show hidden files and folders with the steps from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files.

Download the software version covered by your license, and enter your registration code.

  4. Hi @WayneM,

To modify the Currency settings in Express Invoice, kindly follow these steps. Firstly, click on the Options button. Next to the Regional category, click on the small arrow icon. This will prompt a submenu to appear. Within this submenu, locate and click on the Currency option. On this page, you can set the Currency symbol, name, order, and digits. I have attached a screenshot on the following link showing the steps.

  5. Hi,

When recording a call, make sure that all other programs are closed on your computer except Debut and the application you record. Debut is using your computer settings when recording, that why it's important to run the first Debut, and then the application you want to record. This is how the program works.

  6. Hi,

It seems that you face some compatibility issues with the sample rate. You can try to convert the Sample Rate and check the result.

To convert the sample rate of the current file use the menu Edit -> Convert Sample Rate and select the new sample rate. The sample rate must be between 6000 and 192000 samples per second. Typical sample rates are displayed in the pull-down list, but you can also enter your values. Convert your file to 41000.

  7. Hi,

Yes, you can transfer the software to a new computer. Before you start with the transfer process, you can save the current material (including the associated Word Processor document) as a DCT file. Be sure to save your wordprocessor document before selecting this option. Save as a DCT file by clicking the disk icon in the secondary toolbar, or by selecting File->Save as DCT.

After saving your file, you will need to uninstall the program from the old computer, and after that continue with the installation process on the new computer using the software version covered by your license, and enter your registration code. If you need help finding the correct version and the registration code, please contact NCH support team using the following link:

  8. Hi,

MixPad has the option Stretch or Shrink Clips which can alter the duration of the selected clip without trimming any audio. MixPad will stretch or compress the clip to meet the specified duration. You can also use the Keep Pitch Constant option to avoid changing the pitch of the audio. You can check the following video tutorial for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApJ_CuOY6ro&ab_channel=NCHSoftware

  9. Hi,

In this situation, reinstalling the software would be the recommended course of action.

Uninstall MixPad, then delete 3 folders named "MixPad" and 1 named "Components" from these locations:
    **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\MixPad\
    **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\MixPad\
    **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components
    **C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\MixPad\
**If you can't find any of the folders, just continue.

If you can't find the AppData folder, set Windows to show hidden files and folders with the steps from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files.
