  7. Hi, 1, To open the Eraser, click Eraser under the Edit tab. This will open the Brush Tools dialog that contains the restore brush and the eraser. 2. Click and drag on your image where you would like to erase or restore. 3. Use the Brush Size slider to adjust the size of the cursor and so erase or restore more or less of the original image in one sweep of the cursor. 4. The Brush Strength slider set all the way to the right will delete or restore the image under the cursor completely. As the slider is adjusted to the left, the strength of the erase or restore diminishes until they have no effect. 5. The Brush Hardness slider allows you to adjust the strength of the eraser or restore brush with the radius of the cursor. If the slider is all the way to the right, then the same strength will apply evenly over the entire radius of the cursor. As the slider is moved to the left, the strength of the brush decreases with increasing radius of the cursor. When fully to the left, the strength of the brush is a tenth at the cursor edge as it is at the cursor center. 6. Click the Close button in the upper right corner to close the Brush Tools. Any layer that had an eraser applied to it will have an eraser icon on the layer title. You can reopen the Brush tools by clicking this icon. Here is a video tutorial showing how this feature works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CknGDlzutI&ab_channel=NCHSoftware
  8. Hi, The update is optional. If you decide to install the latest software version covered by your license, I suggest contacting the NCH technical support team for assistance: https://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html Regarding the issue you are facing with the noise, try to play those files locally on your computer (you can try VLC Media Player) and check if the same issue occurs. If the bar is orange instead of green, you may have just changed the color of this track. To switch it back to green, simply click on the color box on the track and you will see various options to choose from. I have attached a screenshot for reference. https://files.fm/u/mr594v665x

  23. In NCH Express Invoice, the “Input a Payment” function is used to record a payment received from a customer. This is typically used when a customer makes a payment against an invoice that you have issued. Here’s how you can use it: Go to the Sales tab. Select Apply customer’s payment. Enter the Date, Customer, Amount, Method, Reference number and deposit account. In the Applied column of the invoice list, enter the payment next to the correct invoice. Press Tab or Enter to save your change This function is particularly useful in keeping track of which invoices have been paid, partially paid, or are still outstanding. It helps maintain accurate financial records and can aid in reconciling statements
  24. When the MAPI option is selected, email is sent using your default email program. The emails will be available in the history of the client (i.e., in the Sent box) You must have MAPI-compliant email software installed. Mozilla Thunderbird and Outlook(*) are MAPI compliant. If you do not have MAPI software installed, simply download and install Thunderbird (free) from www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/. You'll have to set up your email software as the default MAPI server. In Outlook use Tools / Options / Make Default. In Mozilla Thunderbird go to Tools, Options and tick 'Use Thunderbird as the default mail application' in the General tab. Outlook Problems: Some versions of Outlook cause problems because the automated send feature is disabled, or it prompts you every time it needs to send a message (which defeats the purpose of automated email!). The easiest solution to this problem is to simply download the free version of Thunderbird from Mozilla.org. You will still be able to use Outlook as your main email application but you can set up Thunderbird simply for sending automated mail. You will need to allow the sending of email by another application. The first time an email is sent you will be prompted if this is to be allowed. You should check the checkbox to allow this always.
