  1. i use ties, for example four quarters tied together plays and sound like a whole note q q q q =w time wise q_q_q_q is four qs tied together, plays like whole note q q q q on C q_q_q_q tied on E plays as of you have four beats on c and one four beat note on E Fugly as sin but it works.
  2. Not specific to the weak butt crapscendo software, in written music, can one embed coda and like terms within volta such that the resulting move to bar will be unique?
  3. lol. for a moment, i thought you were serious.
  4. i have, what is the issue, please?
  5. Crapsendo is a POS, I agree, WHat else is there? I need to try something else.
  6. You Should hear the notes, IF YOU TURN THAT OPTION ON. I do nt know if you know that, or how, so I will try to explain. Go the upper right corner, see MENU. "Left Click| on MENU to get drop down list. Seven down see PLAYBACK, Left Click on PLAYBACK for further menu. ABout six deep in that pulldown menu see PLAY NOTE AT PLACEMENT. Left click to select. Scroll over PLAYBACK and see your option checked. Notes should now sound at placement. If notes do not sound now, it is a software OS issue, sorry. I really do not think Crescendo is well supported.
  7. Just noting various errors that go UNFIXED because the ADMIN sucks the life out of the product but wash their hands from supporting it. YES, I AM LOOKING FOR BETTER SCORING SOFTWARE.
  8. I use D.S. al Coda to send Crescendo back for a third verse. Up to "Segno" it goes. It plays until it finds, "To Coda." Then it jumps to the Coda symbol (circle with cross in it). Movement of playback is good, but the score has an "empty" bar in front of the Coda. This empty bar never plays. If I put notes in it, they never sound. Is the Coda supposed to have an empty bar preceding it?
  9. Up in the menu bar, see menu Score Edit . . . Cliclk on edit and then see just below and between menu and score, Auto Format, Be aware, auto format can shift measures to lower systems. Pretty Effed up.
  10. IF you can switch instruments part way through, on the same stave, please let me know.
  11. Nah, it is just a POS product with "tech support" that is worthless.
  12. Obviously, the original sample wasn't created in crescendo. I wish I knew what product did because this lack of function is rampant in creshito and no one ASSociated with the product can fix it. Just make excuses.\
  13. Right click on a note and a half moon visual representation of options should appear. See six o'clock sad smile. Click that for tie. Untie a note by hitting resulting note icon that replaces sad smile.
  14. What format is the original content? Thanks
  15. My Point, exactly. It is in a pull-down menu, but, as I type, I forget which pull down carrot to use. If I can figure out how to find it, now, and return to type here, I will. Ah, within a measure, right click and you should get a drop-down menu. TWELVE items down is "repeat", or from the bottom see, Measure Layout, Measure, and then, REPEAT. Click on REPEAT and see the various Coda, Capa Da Segno etc., options.
  16. When I autoformat my score, only the FIRST, WHOLE REST, drops into the middle of the system. All others are placed in the first quarter of the system, almost as if the Whole Rest has a quarter note value. Is it just me, or is this another undocumented feature that I should be happy to have paid for?
  17. I have been completely frustrated by people who have no concept of what we expect software to do. I certainly expect the software to work, and if not, to have it fixed. But in my case, the helpdesk is clueless and even suggest that I should BUY A NEW COPY as the bug has PROBABLY, ALREADY, BEEN FIXED. Until I find a bridge to buy, I am cutting and pasting s "space hyphen" from Word and "____" also from word.
  18. My cheap spinet piano has TWO pedals. Please forget about the left pedal . . . the one that lightly mutes the volume and let's consider the right pedal. When I press it, it "SUSTAINS" the notes I hit, until I lift my foot. Now, I say this because I might hope the Notation software would have a sustain feature, such as "pedal" on or off, but I cannot hear any difference when I notate "pedal." Is there any note sustainment feature? Thank You!
