Is there any way to remove noize flickering for videos, which were shot in dark time (evening) and after that exposure was up and high ISO produces grain flickering in areas I pointed by yellow ovals?? In context menu for each clip there are Cut Copy Paste (insert) Paste (overwrite) Paste (overlay) So, why not to add Cut (Ctrl + X) Copy (Ctrl + C) Copy effects (Ctrl + Shift + C) Paste (insert) (Ctrl + V) Paste (overwrite) Paste (overlay) Paste effects (Ctrl + Shift + V) How difficult is this feature to be implemented?? This is a great feature! We use it not for ajusting colors for many pieces of videos, but as always ready preset for some frequently used combinations

There is no tools for making all the pieces of videos look the same. You can use such coloring grade software as Blackmagic DaVinci or Adobe SpeedGrade because they have feature to copy/paste settings. So you can adjust coloiring settings for one piece and after that apply to other pieces. Also, you make take final cut of your video. Export it to jpeg pictures. Load to software such as Adobe LightRoom and adjust each photos by automating with ACTIONS After that you can glue up pictures back to video and get cool professional look like in movies. Videopad it a very weak software for coloring videos professionaly. PS. And autolevels it NOT a feature to make all incoming videos look the same. It is just a stupid alorithm for increasing dinamic range in each of RGB channels.

Yes, there is is SUPER PUPER feature for that. Look at this screenshot how to force aspect for your videos. Exporting always works as CROP. Export do NOT work as RESIZE That means that if you export 16:9 and your video in editor 4:3 it will be 1) or CROPED 2) or FIT with black borders keeping aspect ratio of your original video If you want to force 16:9 use the feature like on my screenshot

Thank you for your ideas. 1) Save project / cut off from before staring point and end point by using feature select + "Select deleted region" / export / reload project - that's what we use if waiting is really too much 2) Your Idea with sequences we think is more complex because it is difficult to keep in mind what is where Acctually 1) method would be quite ok if Videopad could be opened in several application instances, so we could hold current project as main correction point and open secon application instance of Videopad for this current project and use Select deleted region pattern 1) But anyway, thank you for your ideas!!

Case: I have a 3 minutes video timelines with audio timelines with diffrent effects, transitions etc. How can I export some small test part just to check if particular parts of my compositions are ok, before I would export the whole video. For example, I want to export 01:24-01:32, 02:15-02:22 and 02:47-02:55 because they are the most complex and important parts, but the rest of video are ok and I know it. Today, I have to export everything, wait and check, and rebuild. Shortly speaking, is there some feature as like "Export selected"??

For example, I have.video 1280x720 for 3 seconds and it is 4800 Kb I convert this video to 160x90 and now it is 370 Kb I apply some filters, let's say, curves and it is 3rd video 350Kb Can you pleae explain what is happening in Videopad When I apply curves, does Videopad parses 4800Kb video or 370Kb video?? So, question is if Videopad cache is one level or full two level cache?? If it is full two level cache, does option for preview size acts for first level of source cache as it works for second level cache of videos with effects applied??

If it is really so, the most efficient way for speeding up effects making would be creating "low poly" sources But unfortunatelly in Videopad there is no opportunity to move (copy/paste) settings... Maybe there is a hidden feature to make Videopad use not original videos, but copies of videos with resized to low resolution and Videopad would use real source for export only. What would you recommend?? PS. Frankly speaking, I was thinking that size of preview option is actually is the same option that makes precached videos for operations, but if I understand you right, this option is for output video with applied settings, but source video for application of settings always used from original size... If so, there is a great technical opportunity to make Videopad much more faster, than it is now!!! Just imagine if all applied settings would be applied not for 1920x1080 to 176x99 (preview), but if they would be applied for 176x99 to 176x99, but 1920x1080 would be used for export calculations only. That would give (1920x1080 = 2073600) / (176x99 = 17424) = 120 TIMES FASTER!!! not 120% faster, but 120 times faster!! that is 12000% faster!!!

We wanted to decrease chached video size via Tools -> Options -> Display to iconic size, such as 40x30 for 4:3 aspect 50x40 for 5:4 aspect 48x27 for 16:9 aspect 47x20 for 2.35:1 aspect But for some reason there is a limit of Width x Height > 16384 So now minimal allowed sizes are: 148x111 for 4:3 aspect 145x116 for 5:4 aspect 176x99 for 16:9 aspect 235x100 for 2:35:1 aspect Why??? Is there possibility to lower cached videosize (for speed of making cached video during editing)??

Nat, thank you for your explanation. To solve this problem I mix (glue up) video and sound before putting it to VideoPad. I glue them up in VirtualDub using Direct Strem Copy mode Using VitualDub it takes 4 seconds to glue up video 1280*1024 and sound for 3:00 (3 minutes) But exporting this via VideoPad takes 80-90% of time (3 minutes of product takes about 2:20 to export) It is not very convininent, but anyway It is a working solution and we gonna use this way. PS. As you know there is a feature Unlink sound or Link sound. I just do not understand why this feature does not work for video and sound files of the same length?? Why this feature works for video and sound pair which was glued up together before import into VirtualDub. I feel that if Link audio was working with ANY pair of video and sound of the EQUAL length, we do not need to glue up them before importing.

I have screen capture videofile without sound And I have sound file with speaking voice I want make zoom animation to produce cool looking according to what sound says (it is videofile about how to use software) But when I am in video effects dialog I hear no sound Whem I am in timeline mode, everything is ok When I am in video effects dialog there is Sound scale with db which means that somehow sound can be played in this dialog. How I can make Videopad play sound which is on my timeline, but which were recorded separatelly??

When I searching for combination of color and sound effects for piece of video I usually do 50-80 exports working with each project. And now in version 4.08 every time I need to click 2 times more before I get save as file dialog!!!! I need click File - click Video File - How to make this dialiog remember my export choice and always open on save as file??? PS. Also I usually try two versions for export 720x304 for faster and 1280x540 Everytime I need to manually enter them via Custom size option It it somehow possible to make it remember my last 3-5 sizes I used for export??

Yes, after stabilizing everything is great... but using stabilization step is just a cure, but there is a way not to get sick at all. And as c_major says, from developer's point of view they see how to correct zoom filter in order to make zoom filter to produce smooth videos by using zoom filter only without stabilizing step.

In my Windows Media Player video shakes. Irfanview have not tested. By I uploaded this video to youtube and unfortunatelly It shakes!! * * * * * * By the way, on youtube there is a service for stabilizing videos. I would understand that shaking zoom cound be if aspect ratio was animating too, but in my animation there is no aspect ratio animation, only size of canvas with constant aspect ratio. About Compressor QUESTION 1 Does setting Threshold to 0dB means no comression at all, no matter what ratio is, because icreasing zero means zero? QUESTION 2 Do I correctly understand Ratios: 0 - 1:1 means NO INCREASE 1 - 3:2 means 67% increase 2 - 2:1 means 50% increase 3 - 3:1 means 33% increase 4 - 4:1 means 25% increase 5 - 5:1 means 20% increase 6 - Limit means 100% increase (double) QUESTION 3 If we aleays want to hear clear sound without overdistortion, does it mean that I shold never touch Level settings and always should keep it to zero? Please, tell me where I can find infomation for understaings settings controls for sound effects Reverb and Compressor in VideoPad I tried to move them around and this is russian rulette... Sometimes I found combination, sometimes not... I want to use it by understanging what I am doing, like I use Curves for visual effects. I understand them and therefore always can do exaclty what I want to do. Please, give me a link or some explanational tutorial what each setting is used for and how to understand their use in practical cases (with voice, with street sound and etc)

Wow!!! This is first time in my life when I realized, that fade in & fade out are just animation of transparency effect with black PNG at the very bottom level. Thank you for this idea!! It opens a lot of new possibilities for making movies!!

Oh, my God!!! I feel myself very stupid. Sorry!! Yes, there is Move down and Move up feature in context menu of each Video layer. I'm sorry that I didn't noticed it before... Now to move new track down we need to click menu item 27 times. But this much bettter than moving all videos up!!! I was just looking for insert new track menu item and overlooked, that there is move up and move down items. Sorry... Yes we produce cross-fade for sound exaclty as you offered. Fade out for current and fade in for next. From 4.05 version now we can use cross fade for picture too, because in v.4.05 there is new cool feature fade in for videos Well, yes, you are right about crossfade, but all this ladder of tracks is used to produce effect which is used in movies a lot when sound of next video starts in current video and picture of next video appears a bit later If we would use only tow tracks, that would lead to chess order of videos and transitions 1-2, 3-4 are ok, but transitions 2-3, 4-5 will produce effect when picture of next video starts earlier, while sound of current vide is still there. And that is not what we want. We want transitions like 1-2, 3-4, and that is why we have to use such a ladder Anyway, there is no problem to produce these effect, it just takes a lot of mouse movements and clicks. But result is available.

Sometimes we combine videos like on this picture to cross-fade their sounds And at this picture if I want to add video 6 under video 5 we have to manually move EACH video one level up because there is no insert new track feature and there is no move track up or down feature. Is there a way just to insert new Video track at the place where i want in order not to move each video in this ladder, becase, when it is 27 videos and I want to insert 28, it is an adventure to move all 27 videos one level up again

Yes, I found 2 new menu items Aspect ratio and Crop They work ok, but I could not understand the scenario how to use this feature in practice I can't see what exaclty problem is solved by this feature For explame, I often make 2:35 : 1 videos from 1280x720 which is 16:9, but not every video is croped in the center. Sometimes we crop it by bottom, sometimes by the top. At the moment, the best stratagy we use is the following: we made 1280x720 PNG file with orange borders at the top and at the bottom and transparent middle. We place it as overlay for long distance. When we add video by video on timeline. Many videos, many takes. And every video we apply Position filter and manually move to place it the best. And the PNG mask shows what part will be off. At the end everything is exported in 720*304 or we add as overlay PNG with black borders and transparent middle and export it 1280x720 and it is suitable or youtube standards, but it looks like movie 2:35 : 1 So, your new feature works, but we just do not know how to use it in everyday practical process. PS. Example video is without sound becasue I do not know how to capture sound in my screen capture program. It is called Camstudio. Anyway, there there is no problem with sound in this issue. Sound works ok and great. There is a problem with playback. 1) When we press space button cursor goes 1 second from cursor and starts playing without sound and without moving of the picture. 2) When cursor gets the postion of where cursor was, sound and video start playing as ususal. So it is not sound problem. It is problem with playback. On my test video you see when I press play button cursor jump 1 second to the past, cursor moves, but video is still and without move. When cursor reaches the point where I placed cursor video starts moving. When video starts moving, sound also stars playing without any problem. Problem is in cursor jumps 1 second back.
