Can you please tell me how to emulate increasing and descreasing of Exposure filter with Curves? I already can emulate with cuves brightness and contrast, and now I want to understand how to emulate Exposure in order to apply it to diffrent color channels.

Is it possible to force VideoPad use cache on on disk, but in RAM memory? If RAM is over it will be anyway put on swap file by operating system...

Please tell us what happens when we edit 25fps videos and export it to 24ps?? Does Videopad deletes every 1 frame?? Or 60 sec 25fps will result in 64 sec 24fps?

Crop effect does not help us to animate Position effect as we wanted and we use the following solution 1) we created PNG file 1280 x 720 which is 16:9 and at the bottom and at the top we added orange borders with 70 pixels height 2) added on track 2 (as overlay) 3) and now when we move Position effect manually and animate it we always see want will be after export in 720x304 or in 1280x576 (that is 2,35:1 scope format)

Yes, this is the closest idea, but filnally we use the following solution 1) we take screenshot of 16:9 2) create black + transparent gradient as we needed with focus on what we need, not only center 3) save as PNG 32 bit (with alpha channel) 4) add to timeline over video 5) add Transparency effect and animate it That's how it works for us now

I hae a feeling that it is somehow depends on building sound track for videos, because on slow coputers during this 1 second of playback there is a sceen with title: Bulding preview...

I opened fresh clean project and imported 720*304 video As you see in manager it has traparent borders in icon Is it possible to apply vignette not to canvas, but to video size, because now corners of vignette are out of sight after export? PS. It would be great to have X and Y options for vignette + ability to animate them, and today I already posted a suggestion via your suggestion form. It is not an error, it is just a feature for placing vignette to the face of character, but not in the center

1) Thank you so much, position effect really does the job 2) Your formula on point 2. has error it is not 50% - (Y1 + Y2) / 2 for my case your formula 50% - (90% - 15%) / 2 = 50% - 75% / 2 = 50% - 37.5% = 12.5% Correct formula for Vertical Offset is the diffrence for shift from center 1) 100% - 90% = 10% * 2 = 20% (for borders from point of placement) 2) 100% - 20% = 80% (working canvas) 3) 80% - 75% = 5% (diffrence between working canvas and target canvas) 4) 5% / 2 = 2.5% (correction offset to place target crop exactly at the center of viewport) Yes, now it works great!! Nat, for now I found the way to crop exatly size I want without finding manually I noticed that height of 576 that is EXACTLY 80% of 720 height of the video To be coorect 10% of 720 is 72 pixel and 576 / 72 = 8 strict So here is solution I do not need manually to find crop size, so Y2 is always 90%. To calculate Y1 that is 1) 1280 / 720 (width of original to width of target) = 1.77777... 2) 304 * 1.7777 (height of target to height of original but target aspect) 3) 540 / 720 (aspected height to original height) = 75% 4) 90% - 75% (here is our Y1 point) = 15% How it is croppped as I wanted, but export of this file to 720*304 takes not the croped size, but from the center as it I did not croped at all!! Thank you for tip, but this is completly unnessesary, because out-of-the-box Rotate -> Horizontal 180* does this job 100%!! PS. If to dream about simple color grading tool, which can be powerfull, but simple to use, here is my prevision of what it could look like 1) engine of this effect is based not on changing original, but on creating coorection layers, and therefore Opacity can be applied and even animated 2) every button is a toggle button and therefore we can create any mix of them, for example on this screenshot we increase 1) only saturation + 2) only in yellows (that is red + green) + 3) only in shadows (that is what curve does) + 4) with screen layers blend effect (corrected 1) + 2) + 3) image blends over itself original) + 5) with 75% opacity + 6) and rememebered on 1 layer (slot) and 6 layers (slots) are still vacant and if we want all this stuff can be animated (with Keyframes button) and masked (with Add mask button) That's what color grading tool of dream looks like for me. )) if you want to see how documentary movie look is read this topic on this forum http://nch.invisionz...preset-filters/

Thank you for your suggestion, but as a resutl all I needed it done with Rotation -> Horizontal 180* and this is a FILP I wanted to get Rotate tool is extreamly powerfull and can created amazing animation effects, but I looked through its list of presets and didn't find Filp Vertical and Flip Horizontal and I thought that rotate tool will not help me to make flip And now I understand that helps and it is very powerfull. I would like to point out very important diffrence between saving chains as presets and coloring presets. Yes, from coders point of view, all coloring presets are just combination of effects chain, but end-users like me, for example, do not know at all what combination of effects and with what settings should I apply to get movie look style the diffrence is in motivation 1) saving chains as presets - it is motivation to save time. this is for people who know to make movie look style with combination of effects 2) but coloring presets built by your specialits - it is motivation to get result without knowlege in using effects like hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, gamma, color balance and so on. this is for people like me, who want to get movie look style by choosing option - apply movie look filter for example, there are instagram photo fillters I do tell you the truth, that I just do not know to make all these effects by combination of simple effects like hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, gamma, color balance and so on but I can use these "presets" which was made by professionals who work in instagram, and they created 15 "presets" (filters, effects - you may call it as you want) and I just chose one of 15 filters and I love it yes, professionals can get more great look with settings of each parameter, but press button and get instant movie look effect is that simple users dream of so, the idea is that "move look effect" is not a preset of effect chain, it is a part of a chain for example, I want to apply "movie look effect" and after that i want to increase saturation, and decrease contrast, that it a chain of 3 effects PS. by the way, for all the time of using VideoPad I always was dreaming about standard layers effects - you know burn, dodge, multiply, overlay and so on for example, I add effect in chain, choose multiply mode and set opacity to 50% and computer creates virtual second layer with the same video and adds it over itself with 50% opacity on multiply algorithm

Well, NCH representatives read all the discussions on this forum and therefore they are already notified... - - - - - - - I applied 2 your presets and they are quite close to youtube, but I feel, that on youtube version of preset there is some magic, which I can not explain because I'm not a professional in coloring of videos... but with all my body I feel that "documentary film" preset from youtube makes videos look like movies, but 2 your presets look cool, but it still looks like just amature video... I do not know... I'm not specialits... I just download videos to YouTube, stabilize, apply settings and download back to my computer... it;s ok, but the problem is that YouTube converts my videos to MP4 and that looses quality and I feel that the same operation can be easily done on VideoPad, but without loosing quality and without need to download on server, wait and dowload back...

Does Videopad have any preset filters like instagram for photos or like youtube for videos I know that it is possible to make color correction with curves, levels and so on, but I means presets, when you press the button and get Documetary look effect or you get Lomo look effect, like on yoube...

in version VideoPad v 3.43 and in v 2.41 press Space always starts at cursor point, so this situation is definetly in v. 3.89 Also I want to point out, that if it was a problem with CPU, then program would just hang, but now after key press Space red cursor moves 1 second back, videoplayback starts and after 1 second sound begins to work this is only in 3.89 if you have v 3.85 to download, I can test and tell you when exaclty it happens, beacuse in v. 3.43 everything is ok with playback
