  1. Place the main footage on track 1. Place the cell content on track two and drag it into sync. The audio waveforms may help line that up. Then mute the cell audio if necessary (right-click to the left of the track). Higher tracks override lower tracks, so the cell will be seen when the cursor reaches its start point and the main track will pop back on when the cell footage ends. To dissolve into the cell click the f at the top-left of the clip and specify a duration.
  2. Something is definitely awry. What version of Videopad is being used? Before adding to the project, close out and restart. Prior to loading the project click OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are up to date... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html If dragging 'snaps back' or moves clip positions, try holding down <alt> while dragging. Or lock the tracks that you don't want altered: right-click in the area to the left of the track and LOCK TRACK. Also try this version, which will install over the old. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  3. Simply install the new version. It should replace the old. Hang on to your old install file in case you want to revert. Or go to Windows Control Panel | PROGRAMS & FEATURES and uninstall from there.
  4. Can you provide a few minutes of the project that demonstrates this issue? Have both audio and video on the timeline and FILE | SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS. Don't upload the export. Full instructions here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted.
  5. Check out Storyboard mode.. It displays individual track 1 clips, making it easy to spot unwanted snippets.
  6. "Juddery?" Let's see. Share your project and someone here will check it out. This isn't difficult, takes little time and can be private. Follow the PORTABLE project instructions here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted. Two different devices used to capture video and audio may not sync, even if recorded at the same time - unless they were sync locked. Home users seldom have that capability. Audio speed adjustments, applied as needed over the duration of the project, can sometimes compensate.
  7. Give this a try and report back. Close the program. Restart it, and before loading the project click OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. If that doesn't help, again close the program and have its installer on hand. Delete all files in the following PC folders... . "C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" Alternatively, the files may be in "C:\Program Files\NCH Software\Components" Reinstall Videopad. You might also test the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  8. Drag the left handle of the center clip to the right. If this doesn't leave a gap, hold down <alt> while dragging. This should not disturb unlinked video tracks. After the gap appears, the audio clip can be dragged left, leaving a gap to its right. Then the right handle of that clip can be dragged left to shorten, if desired. Audio drag.mp4
  9. When you state "next clips are moving too" do you mean contiguous clips on the same track? Or on another track? If the latter, lock that track by right-clicking in the space at the left and LOCK TRACK. Don't believe clips can be positioned without using the mouse. But dragging may be made more precise by expanding the timeline, using the slider at the bottom-right of the window.
  10. Please share a clip that has the issue and someone will check it out. Have you changed any stabilization settings? To what? Upload to a free server (MS OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.) get a shareable, public (non-restricted) link and post that link here or to a private message via the envelope at the top-right of the forum window.
  11. What version of Videopad? Upload and share the file and someone will take a listen. Use a free server, make the link public and post it here...or to a Personal Message (click the envelope at the top-right of this forum).
  12. Click the chevron at the far left of track 2, so it points downward.
  13. Peculiar. Tested here just now, subtitles looked fine in MPC-BE, which is similar to VLC. When the sub window is opened are they all there? What VP version? Upload one of the projects that has the problem and we'll check it out. This is easy, quick and can be private. Don't upload the export - just the PORTABLE PROJECT folder, and link it here. Follow these instructions... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted.
  14. Even spotted in preview at times. Fixed in version 8.56.
  15. You are saying that when you EXPORT there is no video? Are you exporting to a video file or are you directly exporting to YouTube? If the latter, try the former. Export as a Video File, then use YouTube's uploader. How long is your project? What resolution are most of the files? (Right-click them in the bin and click PROPERTIES. Look at the "dimensions" field.) What are your export settings? Try exporting at a lower resolution. Use AVI format with the MPEG4 compressor. Someone here will be glad to take a look at your project. Share it, and the issue will likely be resolved quickly. The process is easy, quick and can be private. Just follow the Save as PORTABLE project instructions here. The exported file is not needed. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted.
  16. A1440 x 720 final output where audio has been 'refined' is available by request. This is a single track - no edits - but you can overlay or replace various segments and doctor fades if necessary. The audio will not sync with your original video, so do not try to mix and match the two projects.
  17. The ZOOM that Nat mentions likely came from my tweaking prior to discovery that v8.55 has a green bar bug.
  18. What version of Videopad is being used? How long is the project? What's the resolution of the bulk of the files? (Right-click on a file in the bin, click PROPERTIES, dimensions.) Try exporting at a lower resolution, using AVI with the MPEG compressor. Share your work here and someone will make a fix for you. This takes little time, and can be private. Just follow the PORTABLE PROJECT instructions here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). 19. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmKCN6jvYsvCrAPCKnPqWqOrxnGH?e=90KgHu Appears to be an 8.55 bug.
  20. After saving your project, close out. Download and install this version, reload the project, and the green line should be gone.
  21. Upload and share, someone will check it out. Don't upload the export, just the PORTABLE project - per these instructions... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link to post.
  22. Google Drive and OneDrive uploads of the lossless file do seem to have an intermittent problem when viewing there, but not when the file is downloaded from those sites or when it is viewed locally after a lossless video export. The developers have been made aware of this odd behavior.
  23. Stills aren't cached. That's normal. Can't spot a thing wrong with your project; exported in English version 8.55 in about two seconds, after the lossless toolbar icon was clicked. See follow up below.
