    When I record, the s sound comes out as a th sound. I have been all over the map trying to figure out how to fix it. Here's an example of a file I did that I posted on my website; it's the best I can do with WavPad. I never would have purchased the program if I had thought the quality would be this bad. Can I fix it? http://tri-studio.com/maryoliver.html I left the file there for you to hear it. It's pretty silly as it is.

    Reducing vocals

    Hi,

     

    It is impossible to remove the vocals perfectly without the original mix track. You will notice some instruments might be removed too and some vocal remain. The effect will also not work on some files which have previously encoded in a highly compressed form like mp3 (because this remove some stereo depth).

    I've been trying to reduce/vocals from a stereo mp3 or wav file, but whenever I click on "Reduce Vocals" from the Special Effects sub menu, nothing happens, and when I play the file the vocals are just as strong as before.

     

    Am I doing something wrong, or does this mean that the file isn't compatible with this effect? Shouldn't some sort of box pop up when this effect is selected, even if it is unable to reduce the vocals?

    Please upgrade to the latest version of WavePad.

     

    Hey I have the same problem, but I cant find "Voice Reduction". and there is no "special effects" menu, only effects. Can you help me out man...

     

    your problem is that it needs to be in .wav , not .mp3

    I have been using wave pad 2.00 for about a year now. I have never had any trouble. I opened it up for the first time in a month or so, and opened an MP3 file. I edited the file to my satisfaction, and am now receiving an error stating, " Unable to create file "file name" for saving." I am very confused! I am opening an MP3 and trying to save as the same file type. I have never encountered this problem before! Can anyone PLEASE help!  Thanks

    Send file to phone

    Hi,

     

    To transfer a file to phone, you need to use cable or send via infrared, bluetooth. There is currently no option to send via email or internet in WavePad. We are working on it :) .

    I just downloaded Wavepad free version and cut a piece of an mp3 and made it into a wave file.  How do I transfer this file to my phone?  Wavepad will let me send it via email or internet.

    Hi,

     

    Please make sure that you have write access to the the WavePad working folder (look in File->Options->Audio Processing page) and the folder that you are trying to save the file to.

    I have downloaded the trial varsion of WavePad Masters Edition.

    I've opened an mp3 file (about 8 MB), made some changes ("Amplify") and tried to save it...

    First I had an error message that says that I should download the "mp3el" from "nch.com/components" and install it manually.

    I did it.

    And then I had another error message ("Unable to create file "XXX"for saving").

     

    What do I do wrong?

    Hi, for some reason these files have been associated with WavePad. You can remove this association by follow these steps:

     

    ~ Go to any folder (eg.c:\)

    ~ Select Tools->Folder Options from the menu

    ~ Select File Types tab

    ~ Go through the file extensions list and make sure they are opened with the application you want.

    I need helkp wave pad copied all my pictures that were in jpeg now i can not access any of them it says i have to purchase their master edition. I did not save them in wave pad, they somehow got copied by wave pad. not only my pictures but alot of my important business files that were in word format. how can I get them out of wave pad format and back into what they were? and why did this happen?? please somebody help me.alot of these pics and files are one of a kind and cannot be replaced

    Hi, unfortunately you can only play one file at a time with WavePad.

     

    We are working on an audio file mixing product which will be released soon next week. This tool will allow you to play multiple files at the same time. If you are interested to be its beta tester, please let me know. Thanks

    Hi, please check that you have the write access to the WavePad working folder (can be set in Settings->Audio processing page). Or you may have run out of disk space on your working folder

    I get buzz-hum when move cursor bar

    Hi,

     

    Can you please confirm again whether you press the <enter> or <space> key? <Space> is the shortcut key for "Scrub".

     

    When i move the cursor bar from part of the waveform to another one and then press <enter> it buzzes or hums.

     

    I thouhgt at first I must be slecting a very short duration of the waveform but even if I AM CAREFUL I get this.

     

    Can you explain this please.  And how do I avoid this.

    Hi,

     

    Yes, the "save as ogg file" feature will be disabled after 14 days in the free version. In order to continue to use it, you will need to purchase the Master Edition.

    I've been a happy user of the standard (free) version of Wavepad.

     

    Recently, trying to save a track to ".ogg" format, I get a popup saying that this feature requires a full version.

     

    Now my questions:

     

    - Is this correct? I only got the problem recently (more than 14 days into the "trial"

      and only after accidentially running a "batch" command by launching wavepad

      with an ".ra" file as command line parameter)

     

    - What do I actually need to buy to get the functionality I need?

      I do not require anything from the Master edition (batch processing etc).

      All I need is to occasionally save a track to ".ogg" format.

      Will Wavepad Master edition let me get on with the job or would I need to purchase

      other components in addition?

    Can't REopen previously saved .wav file

    Can you please tell me how long is the file?

     

    WavePad appears to do exactly what I need it to do, but there seems to be an error somewhere.

     

    I purchase audiobooks on CD, and these files happily live on my ipod. The problem is that the books I've purchased come broken up into tiny two or three minute files which makes it hard to keep my place. I wanted WavePad so that I could put all the files together into one single file.

     

    It seemed to work like a charm. Although the file was large, I kept it in .wav format for easier editing (figured, once it was complete, I'd convert it to a smaller format) and I'm able to just copy and paste each subsequent file onto my growing single file. It works fine while I'm working in WavePad. It allows me to save and the file plays perfectly. But once I exit the file and go back in, the last half of the file is just a hum or buzz. It's funny because it looks fine on screen, but it seems to hit this point and just stop. I've tried twice now.

     

    If I can get this working, I'll happily purchase WavePad, because I'll want to do this with all my books, but if I can't make it work, that would be pointless.

     

    Any suggestions?
