I have a transparent image I want to overlay on the video, but overlaying it causes it to be stretched to fill the screen and positioned in the middle. Trouble is, adding any effect (scale, position, movement, etc) causes the image to become 100% opaque: https://imgur.com/a/NP487P0 At first I thought the trick was to add the "Transparency" effect last in the chain, but that affects the parts that weren't transparent in the original (in this instance the dark lines are opaque to give a clear outline - but this 'fix' causes the lines to be as transparent as the coloured parts). I can't find any way to avoid this. Is this a bug or is there a better way to do this? Sorry for spamming the forum so much, I still have so much to learn about editing and how to use VideoPad.

Hello! I'm looking for a way to export a video through VideoPad with an alpha channel layer in it's background? I understand the only two formats capable of this are .FLV and .MOV being as they're the only ones that can play in QuickTime player, but it doesn't seem that VideoPad Editor gives me the option! In a more specific context to my situation, I'd like to arrange an overlay to my video that plays in 10 fps, and have a background that plays in 30 fps. I don't necessarily prefer using the "Change Clip Speed" option, because it also adds a very strange and unwanted blurry transition between each slowed frame. If anybody knows of any solutions such as a frame-limit VirtualDub plugin or other means, please let me know! Thanks! VM

Hi NCH Is their a bug in videos exported as .gif ?? Just noticed while checking out a forum thread that although individual frames of an animation exported as a .gif play OK and so produce the animated movement required, they do not delete the previous frame of the sequence as they should. Each frame is therefore retained. As any background transparency is also retained, an object set up to move across the screen leaves a trail. This does not happen in VP only in the exported clip . ...... e.g. This is a screenshot of an exported .gif clip. A football with a transparent background is animated to bounce off the top of the screen... In VP this played OK. (This is the exported clip played using Irfanview) Initially I thought this might be a fault of the player. The fault however seems to be in the VP rendering process and not the subsequent viewer used as when the exported clip was reloaded back into VP the trails were still present....... Can this be fxed??? i.e. During export of .gif clips previous frames are deleted before the next is frame is rendered. Nat

I need to make one object of my project transparent because it's going to move across the screen (while there will be a background image staying still, I just removed it so the problem can be seen more clearly). When I place the transparent image to the video track, this happens: There are black pixels all over the edges of transparent area. I tried the crop, zoom and position tools to see if they'd have any effect to this, but I couldn't get rid of those pixels. I also tried to export the video to see if it's just on the preview, but the black edge could be seen on the exported video as well. I'm out of clues what to do anymore - could someone help me? Thank you in advance for any helpful tips!
