I have attempted several times to create a CD of .wav files. The results are frustrating. The software hangs up in different places and then freezes the computer completely. At times, it will seemingly create the CD but when it is played (on computer or other system) it will "hang up", repetitive noises occur and the computer freezes up. My OS is Windows7 and the computer is a Dell Ispiron, relatively new. Files were created on WavePad. Can someone help with some advice on this issue? Has anyone else had the issue and solved it? It is becoming a bit costly attempting to burn one CD after the other which turn out to be unusable. Not happy with this product!

I installed Wavepad yesterday without problems. I wanted to record the audio portion of a streaming video. The broadcast lasted several hours. There were 25 musical groups performing so I created a file, chose .mp3 and recorded each group as a separate file. The first 17 recordings are great. The last 8 all have some noise. It's not distorted. The VU meters don't show any red. It sounds almost like maybe electrical static, if you know what that means, and it's constant throughout each of the 8 affected files. I tried using the noise reduction feature but nothing works. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

Hi there, guys. How can I remove/avoid excessive background noise when I record my vocals using MixPad? Removal Is there any way to remove noise from a track that you've recorded? I know that another programme, "Audacity", has a feature that removes background noise - you simply highlight some noise, then you tell the programme to recognize it, and then you ask it to remove it from the whole track in question. Does MixPad have a similar feature? Avoidance Of course, removing noise from at track isn't necessary if the recordig is free of background noise in the first place. What kind of setup/gear would be the best way to avoid background noise when recording? Here's my own "setup" as it is right now: A t.bone GM-55 (dynamic) microphone connected directly to a USB-port in my PC with a XLR-to-USB cable. It's very basic, and the amount of background noise this generates in MixPad is pretty horrific. Should I use another kind of cable to connect the mic to the computer? Should I buy another kind of microphone? Should I use a preamp or some sort of software to get rid of the background noise? Any advice is very welcome. Thank you in advance!

I've downloaded WavePad but I have absolutely no idea how to use it. All I'm looking to do is remove some interference from a recording that I made which is covering up the noise of the people speaking. Any help would be appreciated. I'm an Express Scribe user and have followed the usual guidelines to no avail.
