Hi, I am using Videopad 8.84. I have added a position effect and set a keyframe, and am trying to reposition the keyframe. I found this link which says you can (http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/effects_animating.html) which says: To move a keyframe, do one of the following: Click on a keyframe and drag it. If multiple keyframes are selected, they will move together. Move the current timeline position over the keyframe and adjust the value of the parameter using its check-box, slider, or numerical input control. The first option is easy enough, but I would like to be able to type the actual time of the keyframe, to have more precision than dragging. The second option suggests you can, but when I move the timeline position over they keyframe nothing seems to come up for this. I wish I could add a screenshot? In either case, it would make sense if I could just right click the keyframe and set its time stamp that way. What am I missing?

For my project I have cropped my videos (1:1) and zoomed to a 16:9 aspect ratio. This leaves a black border on the left and right sides of my videos, which is not a problem, but I am wondering if there is a way to center my videos so that the black bars on the left and right sides are identical widths. I am currently dragging the videos to center them by eye which is not accurate enough, as one side is always slightly wider than the other side. Is it possible to center videos so the black bars are exactly the same on either side? I am very new at using this program and any help would be appreciated!

Hello, I am new to VideoPad Professional. I record videos in 3840 x 1080 format so that I can record my screen and record from webcam. I am trying the following: Crop the video in half. So that I have two 1920 x 1080 videos Resize them as needed. And position them how I want. When I see my sequence in the preview, I can see everything as I want in the 1920 x 1080 ratio. But when I export the video it exports it in 3840 x 1080 format. Am I missing something? Is this even possible? Thank you in advance for any suggestions :).

I just installed version 6.10 (on a Windows 8.1-machine). My old version of VideoPad Professional worked pretty fine, but version 6.10 seems to generate a problem with its 'video-effects' -function (scale, crop, resize etc.). The command 'apply to alle selected clips' does not do its job properly...When trying to make it work on two separate (but successive and closely related) clips, it only changes one of them. Despite answering the question ('apply to all') correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I have downloaded the evaluation version for recording video from my desktop. However when I go to record the position being recorded and the size of the area are not what was specified. I am running multi-monitor on Windows 10 Pro. One important aspect I think is affecting it is that my primary window is 200% text size due to the high resolution, the other two screens are running at 100% text size. I believe this is the issue causing the problem, I am able to artificially get recordings by artificially creating an area twice the size, then moving the window into this area. However this is not ideal. I have attached a rough drawing, as stated above I believe this is to do with the text size options in the desktop display not identifying the correct monitor. Everything else seems great. Best Regards Glyn Addendum I dropped the scaling to 100% on the primary monitor, this fixed the problem after re-running Debut, however I can't actually read anything on the primary! So I can get by however this is a definitely an undocumented feature.

Hello, I just got a new computer that doesn't support my old version of VideoPad so I've had to switch to 4.21. But now I can't find a lot of the features. I used to be able to create image overlays and position and scale the pictures. In 4.21, I found how to create an overlay by having to create a whole other track, but how do you position and scale? Or is that feature gone now?

When I use the "Add Text" feature, the dialog that pops up only allows me to control the text's position by aligning it left, right or center (horizontal) and top, bottom and middle (vertical). What if I need the text to show in a specific arbitrary position over my video - with drag and drop? Can this be done with Videopad? Thanks!

Hello everyone. I am trying to create a simple GIF animation using 5 images and some overlay images (mainly arrows). I have added the images in the correct sequence and am now adding the images to be used as overlays. I add the effects Position and Scale to get the overlays where I want them but for some reason the settings are not kept. The overlay images returns to its original size. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a know bug? All images are PNG format and I am using version 3.22 of VideoPad. Here is a video showing what I am doing: https://copy.com/wjzG6AsqldWG Thanks for any suggestions!

Hello After my last posting about splitscreen I did further testing and trying and made a larger PiP video consisting of 6 4:3 Videos in one 4:3 video. The working by percentage for scaling and moving the videoclips was tedious at first. By pixel would be much easier and thus faster. That the preview didn't show the results precisely just meant more work- and waiting time for me to encode the video several times to confirm all the positions in the real video. Example video: Looks good in the encoded result. Wait till the end to see the preview window in VideoPad while editing. Larger gaps and wrong proportions (the white bar is actually 720 pixels wide; as the exported video; 960x720 [= 4:3 Half-HD]). Is that a general bug? Or meant to be? VP not up for 4:3 editing? Only 16:9? Regards, Llama
