as the title says, the windows 10 spring update has caused my voxal to crash every 10 minutes or so. Not sure how to go about fixing this, if it doesn't crash it my audio just starts echoing in on itself.

I've been noticing that Videopad quite often, when exporting (usually a video to computer file), shows that it is processing audio. Problem is it never stops processing audio - it just gets into some kind of endless loop. This has happened to me on a number of occasions and is destroying my productivity. Please explain what 'processing audio' means and why it seems to hang up in this way so often. I note that many others have similar problems. Videopad is a great little editor and i love using it - but its so getting so bad now that I may need to consider going elsewhere for a solution. Please give me a solution!

I seem to be having an issue with exporting my videos, which is strange because it's never been a problem. Every time I try to export a video (and mind you, it's not even 2 minutes long, so it shouldn't be this difficult) the program crashes at about 10% completion. I've only gotten it to finish exporting once and it only had 10 seconds of my video! I'm using version 4.14 if that makes a difference! (I haven't been notified of an update recently)

Hi I have the latest version of Videopad installed and have a brand new PC: Top spec I7 8700K, 16GB RAM, 3GB GTX 1060 dedicated graphics card, Samsung EVO SSD. I bought this spec so I could specifically edit videos. Creating videos is very difficult. I use 4k clips recorded from my phone (mp4) and high resolution photos (20MP from a Sony RX100 camera) Once the video is approx 2-3 mins long everything grinds to a halt. "Building preview", sound playing but video frozen, sequence preview grayed out so only clip preview works (after waiting for it to build the preview) I have ensured no other programs are running in the background. My hardware cannot be the problem. Am I missing something before I abandon Videopad and shell out more money for something like Adobe? I like Videopad for its simplicity and small learning curve but I can't continue to work like this. Exporting is also slow (I assume the graphics card is not being used) If not why? I read somewhere that it could be due to videopad being 32 bit and only being able to use 4gb of RAM at a time. If so when will a 64 bit version be released? Is one even in development? If Videopad does not move with the times others like myself are going to jump ship and use alternative software. 1080p rendering is going out. 4K is here. I don't want to render in 1080p or even 2K - imagine how they will look on the 8K or higher tv's of the future) Thanks in advance for any replies.

I've already recorded a few videos with the camera overlay but it recently started crashing when I tried to move it into a different corner. I unplugged it and Debut ran just fine, but the second I plug in the webcam, the whole thing crashes.

For the past week I have no longer been able to make (export/save as .avi) videos...usually the processing takes under an hour... but now it takes 5 hours or more per video, then at the last minute, it sends a pop up saying "lame.exe error, program has to close" and VideoPad crashes. It says it has processed the file to 100% but when I try to play it, all I get is a message saying "can not process file" (from YouTube when trying to upload to YouTube) or "file corrupted" (from my PC when trying to play on ANY movie player software.) I filed a bug report last week and they gave me a link to update, which I did, but still am getting this error and program crashing. (Have filed a 2nd bug report today), but was wondering if any one else has gotten this error and knows what it means and how to fix it? Computer is Windows 10, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I'm using version 3.04 Unlicensed Free of VideoPad. A great piece of software I plan to purchase in August. In the meantime I am having some difficulty, however. I have a Phenom II Athlon X4 965 BE @ 3.4GHz but the program shows 100% CPU utilization in Task Manager no matter what I do. Is there an advisable core affinity I should set that might improve performance? I have a fairly robust system with lots of memory and I would not expect the program to be this taxing for my processor. If this is normal, please disregard. If not, any advice from fellow users would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
