When recording narration I am a little confused as to how the controls work on the form. Despite Google searches I cannot find any explanation. So the buttons are Start, Stop & Pause. In the case when I am doing 20 minutes of narration and make a mistake after 10 minutes, how do I go back to before the mistake and redo the incorrect bit and then carry-on through to the end of my 20 minutes? If I stop, then Videopad creates a new file from the start point? If I pause, does Videopad continue with the existing file when I press continue (ie Start button again)? Can I drag the recording slider back before the error and just redo - will Videopad just create a single file again? Garteful for some advice on this please.

I'm totally brand new to VideoPad. I have a long video that I'm trying to edit into shorter clips that I can then sequence or export as stand alones. I've watched the basic tutorial movies like the Video Editor tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4Qoe43YYDU and How to trim video. I see how to set start and end points and how to split. But I cannot figure how to scroll the timeline left and right. I thought that I could use the scroll wheel or shift-scroll wheel like other apps, but that only zooms the timeline in or out. There doesn't seem to be a scroll bar or other tool to move left-right. What is the secret of moving the timeline left and right when zoomed in? I'm on Windows 10 if that matters.

I recently recorded a video that I plan to upload to youtube (And I'm very sorry if I'm in the wrong forum) I used VideoPad to edit, and after every day, I would export my project as an mp4 so I would have a backup in case the project decided not to work. But once I was finally finished editing and I wanted to export it for the last time, it wouldn't let me. Instead, it said that I had to buy Videopad. When I first downloaded it, though, it said that it was free, and some elements cost money. But when I had exported my video before, it had never said that eventually I'd have to pay for it. Is there a way to export my video in the free version, or will I have to buy Videopad?

I have created a sequence of a number of video clips all together with no gaps. I want to adjust the duration of some of the clips on the sequence. I am content to do that for each clip in turn either on the sequence or using the clip preview box, but I'd like to be able to do it without altering the clips around. At present, if I adjust one clip to increase its length, then the clip to the side of it becomes shorter. Can this be avoided please? In other words, if I increase the length of one clip, I'd like all the clips to the right of it to move right to make space for it. If I reduce the length of a clip I'd like all the clips to the right to move left to close the gap. I have Videopad 4.48. -
when I click save file as, it only gives wpp as an option, even though I downloaded the mp3 converter addon. and the file was an mp3 before being edited

Hi all, When I record midi direct from my Ensoniq keyboard I get a faithful reproduction of my playing (including all use of the sustain pedal.) However if I then click "edit clip..." and make changes to the midi track in the midi editor, then when I play it again from the main window the sustain-pedal info has been wiped and I just get the length of the notes as I held them down. The sustained notes are still available if I switch back to edit mode and play it from there (but obviously I can only play a single track in edit mode). So for instance after I do any small edit, all my arpeggios etc. sound clunky and staccato instead of being held over the time I pressed the sustain pedal. Note that the midi data in the edit window only shows the actual time the key was pressed (say I held a C for one second). But the sustain pedal overrides the ending of the note and it might be audible for 3 seconds. There is no visual data in the midi-edit table to show that the sustain pedal has been pressed so I can't edit sustain back in as far as I know. But ... even though the sustain data appears to be ignored in the main window, the info is not deleted. I know this because if I save and close the file, when I re-open it it is still possible to hear the sustained version but only if I click play in "edit mode"... But in the main window the sustain info remains lost. Seems like a bug to me - anyone else experienced this? Cheers.

I am just learning to use VideoPad. I didn't realize there was a separate program for audio (WavePad Audio Editor) so I brought my single audio file into VideoPad hoping to combine it later with a PowerPoint video. I cleaned up the audio by taking sections of it out. When the file is open in VideoPad it is a vpj file. I want to save it as a wav file and upload it to Google Drive so I can listen to it while I record the PowerPoint. But every file I save and open does not seem to have my changes except when I'm in VideoPad. Thanks in advance for any help!

I would like to get rid of the "ship to:" addressing on the invoice altogether but the options have NO checkbox to delete this . anyone have any idea on how to get rid of this?

Hi, I'm a newbie to this app. I know that I can press the button to view the left and right channels of a stereo recorded. However, I still can't figure out how to edit the channels separately or even save back the left or right channel as separate files. Thanks for the help.

I'm new to this VideoPad, have uploaded some old video clips from a 'family DVD' and trying to cut down what we have previously recorded. I can't get started on editing because the red cursor zooms across the clip. Also on another clip the picture freezes and the sound continues in the background. I'm sure it's beginners error but I can't work out how to get stared, have watched the video tutorials.

Hi, I have an existing video of a narrator. She wants to add her Powerpoint slides into the video, as the videographer didn't record them. I converted her Powerpoint slides into still images. Now, I want to insert them each place where she talks about them. I don't want to interrupt her audio, so I split her audio and video, but I also don't want to get them out of sync. So, I created a video track 2 for the jpgs of her slides. This is working fine, but instead of cutting between the slides and her video, I'd like to crossfade between the two... looks smoother and less "MTV." Problem is, Videopad only seems to have transitions created OUT of a clip or image. Plus, I see the orange above Track 2, but it doesn't split the transition between 1 and 2, even if I select both. So, in playback, when I transition out of the first image, it fades out, but then cuts back in to her video on Track 1. There's no connection between the "out" point of the first slide and the beginning of her video on Track 1. I figure if I can get this to work, I'll just split the video only on Track 1, each time I want to go into or out from an image. However, if I can't transition from 1 to 2 and back again, that would be wasted work. I don't want to fade out and cut in. Is there a trick I don't see? (I have a Mac mini running Mtn. Lion, and Videopad Version 3.83.) Thanks!

I have a short, silent MP4 video clip that I am trying to add sound to. When I drag the MP3 file onto the audio section in Videopad, the video disappears. When I save it, the video plays for 2 seconds and then only the audio will play. Any and all fix suggestions welcome. Thank you!

I had an older version installed [4.35]. It took me back then some tweaks in the registry to have it the way I wanted: with only "Convert to .flac" and "Convert to .wav" under the right-click menu, and with those file formats at the same time being playable via left click in my audio player Now, after upgrading to version 5.12, I still have what I had, but sometimes also these entries: - Convert video file - Edit video file - Convert with Switch Sound File Converter Why does newer version adds these two first commands to some of video formats and to third one to video and audio formats; without asking first for permission? I do not have the Other > Context Menu > Add Switch to the Windows Explorer right click-menu selected. And yet it does not matter if I install new version over the old one or remove the old one, reset the system and then install the new one; and it does not matter if I re-select and de-select that option Am I really suppose to go through registry, manually tracking all these entries [which are in multiple location as I already checked] and remove them by myself? Why does an audio user like myself who sometimes does only audio conversion, who has nothing to do with videos aside from watching them, have to have his shell menu filled with commands of no use? Why does version 5.12 create such an issue while the 4.35 did not [4.35 had to be adjusted by me in regards to audio formats only]

Does anyone know if there's anyway I can edit the deadline column in either the free or Pro version of Express Scribe? I'd love to simplify my life and be able to just sort all my typing jobs according to deadline but I just can't seem to find ANYTHING Thanks (in hopeful anticipation). Kath

How do you add a time stamp to a video in the Debut Video Capturing software. The website says that it can be done, but I haven't been able to find it within the actual software.

Dear All, I want to edit a big vidoe file around 2GB. But after I drag it to videopad editor, the processing window pops up but no progress at all even i have waited for hours. I also will edit 4GB file. Is there any limitation of the file size to be edited using videopad editor? If not, how to solve this? Or is there any command line that can allow me to do the splitting function? Thanks, WIlson

I can't figure out how to record a song that has both regular level and belt level volumes I have the Rode NT1-A Microphone (it's amazing), so I'm wondering if there's something I can do in the mixing software to help eliminate fuzziness, echoiness, and just flat out different quality from when I sing soft vs. loud. HELP!! Please and thank you

I have WavePad 4.5 (full pad version) installed on my Apple MacBook Pro running Max OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I've been using a combination of WavePad and iTunes to create custom ringtones for my iPhone 4S and have run into something strange. The problem: In WavePad, I'll edit a selection down to exactly what I want for the ringtone, save the file as an MP3... and when I re-open the file in ANY player, WavePad will have added a very short block of silence at the beginning of the file and a longer block of silence at the end. I can go back into WavePad and either manually re-edit the silences out of the file or use the "Trim" commands, but as soon as I save the file (even under a different name), WavePad attaches the same silent stretches at the beginning & end of the file. These stretches of silence 'break" the seamless looping of the ringtone. Is it something I'm doing/not doing? Is it a limitation of the software? Is it something I'm simply not thinking of? Inquiring minds want to know! (Thanks in advance for help & advice...!)
