Technoir84
Hi, I just purchased NCH VideoPad after using it for a few years on another PC. I edited and exported a video with sound. The resulting MP4 video has only sound and grey screen OR the video freezes after the first few seconds. (in windows media player) Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.. Dangerfreak
I suggest to try different GPU Video Processor settings, see screenshot . "None (CPU only)" is slow, but reliable. The other setting (your graphic cards) is probably faster, but might have errors in the export (especially old graphic cards). Don't forget to restart videopad after changing settings. Technoir84
Thank you for your feedback. This far exceeds my IT capabilities unfortunately. I have a brand new Core i9 laptop with rather high-end parts so I am surprised at the failure with NCH Videopad, an app that worked well on my much older machine. Cheers. borate
Please install the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. To follow Dangerfreak's suggestion... On the menu (at the top of the VP window) click the Home tab. Then on the toolbar click OPTIONS. Click the ADVANCED tab. In the GPU Processor section at the bottom click the caret and choose None (CPU Only). Report back.
Technoir84
Hello! Thanks for the tip. I already canceled and obtained a refund from NCH Videopad. I will try using my old PC tomorrow and see if the software still works as usual on there.
