Thank you for your feedback. This far exceeds my IT capabilities unfortunately. I have a brand new Core i9 laptop with rather high-end parts so I am surprised at the failure with NCH Videopad, an app that worked well on my much older machine. Cheers.

Hi, I just purchased NCH VideoPad after using it for a few years on another PC. I edited and exported a video with sound. The resulting MP4 video has only sound and grey screen OR the video freezes after the first few seconds. (in windows media player) Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.. Thanks, I was able to move the track on top but not the one under it - odd - and that solved it.

Hello, So I am back at editing a bunch of short videos into a long one. Image: https://ibb.co/3hYSV1b I dragged a video file into "Video Track 2", but instead of getting into that track, it created its own "Video Track 3" just above it. When I try to drag that short video from Track 3 to 2, it won't work. I made sure to delete the soundtrack of the video before attempting to merge them into Track 2. Am I doing anything wrong? Thank you

Ah yes, in that case there is nothing I can do since I was creating an animated GIF, not a still image which would be easily editable in Photoshop. I hope one day NCH VideoPad can do away with those unnecessary transparent or white bands, it makes it difficult to insert the generated (and cropped) GIF into a page with other elements on it (there is an odd empty space above and below the GIF now. Hello, it finally worked, thank you for your help !! One oddity I noticed: https://ibb.co/Jx62yPv When I upload the GIF onto my page, I am unable to click on the area immediately above and below the image, as if there were white bands. When I open the GIF in Photoshop, it shows transparen bands above and below the image as well: https://ibb.co/P5xKm47 So even thought the GIF image itself was cropped, the removed area is still there somehow.

Hello all, Thank you, I am still struggling with it. Nationalsolo: I did that, but upon exporting, the video is exactly the same size as original. I tried again: Selected all the parts of the video > Video Effects > Crop: It only cropped the last part of the video, and upon exporting, same as above. Hello! I want to make a video less tall by cropping top and bottom inwards a bit. I did that, then Exported the file as a video. The resulting video is exactly the same height as the original one, it changed nothing. What am I doing wrong? Thank you! Cheers.

Hello ! Thank you very much to help fix things. I tried fixing it myself but never found out what happened, I worry this will happen again with every video I add an audio track to. It looks like we're 99% there. The only issue now is that there are no volume controls on each audio track segment. Previously, I was able to adjust the volume of each segment on the audio track, but these controls are now gone. Hi man, thanks for the hard work. Looks like I need a degree in IT to be a successful editor 😅 My version is v7.12. I downloaded your folder, but found that it contains 4 jpeg images, could not locate the vpj file ? I played with it over the last few days, and the behavior of the program is so bizarre, it really looks like a major software bug. Instead of playing the video track from beginning to end, around halfway into it, the preview screen shows the video playing again from the beginning (even though the media loaded in video track is still there). In other words, there is a mismatch between the media loaded into video track, and the preview window. There are no problems with the video until I upload the soundtrack and cut it into smaller segments to attribute different volume to each. 😥

Thank you very much. I hadn't noticed that my audio file was indeed some kind of video file, despite not having any visible video when playing it. Sadly, the stream of strange errors has not stopped... I locked all existing video and audio tracks I imported the mp3 audio file So far no issue and the mp3 soundtrack plays normally in its own audio track. I cut the audio file into different short segments, in order to assign different volume levels to each Upon playing the entire thing from the beginning, I noticed that the video was now totally wrong. Around 0.42 the video ignores the media on the video track, and apparently plays itself again from the beginning! Hello! My first post here and already having some issues. I have a 3 min long video made of a dozen of so smaller video clips. An audio track runs below. So far so good. Next, I try to insert some newly made video clips into the 3 min video The problem: The new video clips displace the audio track. No audio track wants to stay right below the newly inserted video clips. All audio immediately moves out of the way resulting in a large audio gap where those new video clips are. I tried deleting the audio track and re-importing the entire audio again. The audio track then completely skips the video and positions itself before or after it. screenshot Thanks in advance for your advice!
