No audio and no video export on VideoPad v. 13.22

Hi there,

since updating to 13.22 I can't hear audio during preview and no video export is possible anymore (a small window reporting "elaborazione clip audio in corso" is showing without ending, export doesn't go at all).

All audio controls are on, no mutes at all. Both on timeline and clips. Audio card is set properly, with previous version had no problem at all (but I don't remember which version).

I can't keep on working to my last video, it's a big issue for me. Obviously I've a regular license.

PS: I have a second copy on my laptop and have no problem with that, it works there. PC with issues is an AMD, my laptop is an Intel i7.

Have no problem of smoothness, my systems are both well ram equipped.

Any help? I already did all this stuff:

There is no v13.22 AFAIK.  Install this version.  Drop by again if this doesn't solve the issue.

For protection, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves.  Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite.  From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.

Version 13.22 is actually installed on my pc (don't ask me why, just downloaded and installed from nchsoftware.com)

I uninstalled that version, downloaded and double clicked that installer you suggested.

Seems like it forces to install the same 13.22 version despite 13.28 should be available.

Installed 13.28 English version, and it is showing correctly on the info tab.

Indeed frustrating.  V13.22 must have been a non-English release.  What are the specifics of that AMD PC:  CPU/GPU/RAM?

Close the program, the right-click on the launch icon and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.  Any better?

If not, please supply your project for analysis.  It's easy, takes only minutes and can be private.  Just follow these steps...

•     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
•     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. 
•     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" 
•     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

          *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

Hi Borate

I just opened the .exe as admin and it worked! Crazy! I need the Italian version, so I will uninstall and reinstall it again. Don't close the thread until I don't check that too, please. I'll do it soon. Thanks

Ok, problem solved. I suggest to add a warning message in case the program is not run as admin. Thanks a lot Borate, very appreciated!

This oddity shows up only occasionally, and may be AMD related?

Run As Admin can be the default.  Right-click the launcher, choose Properties | Compatibility tab and check the box.
