addressed Moving Clips independently

I'r been using Videopad awhile now, and like it. However, there is one feature I find extremely annoying, and that is ripple editing in a sequence. It seems to be the default behavior, and I can't figure a way to shut it off. I'm timing Audio to Video, so this is critical.

For example:

- I have an overlay with a clip from 1:00 to 1:20. 

- I have another clip on the overlay at 1:40, with no clip in between.

- I want to extend or trim the first clip 

When I try to do that, the clip at 1:40 moves with the first (whether I trim or extend). I want the clip at 1:40 to stay where it is.

How do I turn off, or work around, that behavior?

It's not doing that here.  What version of VP is being used?  Try the latest.  For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

Or reinstall your version a time or two - or three - to see if the behavior changes.  No need to download again.  Subtle differences can result from each install of the same version.

You can also try holding down <alt> as you trim those clips.

That shouldn't happen. Clips on Track 2 (overlays) should remain in their place irrespective of which end you trim off or extend or whether you Delete or Delete (Ripple) the trimmed off section. They should only move if you drag them or close the gap. If you close the gap all clips to the right  of the gap should move left.
