havewinter
Has anybody had any problems with dictators getting disconnected randomly in the middle of transcribing? We have changed the end of call tone detection settings, etc. The problem is still occuring and is getting extremely frustrating. There is no rhyme or reason to the disconnection. There is no pause in voice, no strange tone of voice, no beeps, cell phones...It just clicks them off in the middle of speech. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Yes, we are having this problem also. I have paid support and have sent the trace file to the company.
kpilcher
Yes, we are having this problem also. I have paid support and have sent the trace file to the company. After a lot of testing I have found that if the dictator periodically presses 9 (start dictating from current location) during dictation that the call will not disconnect. The people dictating won't like it but it's better than being disconnected. Let's just hope there is a real solution soon.
cjessee
Is everyone in this topic using a plain telephone line, or are you guys using VOIP?
kpilcher
VOIP for me. I believe this is a VOIP only problem. It seems to be due to lack of RTP keep-alive packets from DialDictate during dictation and the VOIP provider is dropping the call.
