What version and updates

Looked in vain for a NCH page that show history of releases of VP, in vain.

Does NCH  have such a page?

I am prompted to see what is VP latest release is.

I have pro 8.95 but have recently seen 8.96 mentioned and just now 10.10

Whats what folk?

I read somewhere that if you purchased VP more than 6 months ago you may need to purchase an upgrade - fine.

I purchased VP on 14th September 2020 (just over 4 months ago) and it seems I have also got to purchase an upgrade.

Is this right or not?

My old version is 8.95 (masters) and obviously I am looking to upgrade to 10.10

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

Yet there's no mandate to update if the release you're using now is doing the job.  It doesn't expire.

Newer versions can always be test driven, unlicensed, to see if they have features that you need.  Just retain your licensing info and the installer (though it is available on line).
