Exported MPEG-4 not containing Image Files

I'm doing a 30-60 minute video podcast with image title cards at the front and end of the program. When exporting to MPEG-4, the export happens rather quickly but instead of the image cards that were placed in the sequence, the video only shows a green screen at the front and rear where the images should be. The audio and the rest of the video was exported correctly. This incorrect file is a manageable 349MB.

The only fix I've found for this is to reload the original converted video file, lay it back into the sequence and export again. It works when the conversion goes  v e r y  s l o w. But the same video file that's now correct with the images in place is 5.73GB (HUGE)! It works, but why should 45 seconds of images being added to the video file take up so much more room than the incorrect file without the images? Why is this happening at all? What should I be doing so that all tracks in a sequence are getting exported.
Thanks in advance!

Assuming that this is a Windows PC, download and install this VP version and see if the problem goes away.  If not, check back here.

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

I have questions about Amplify, Normalizing, & EQ. It seems I'm not able to Amplify the audio as it's already maxed out, so Normalizing isn't able to do anything as well.  I notice that VideoPad's Amplify setting is set at "10", so I don't have any ability to increase the volume of an audio track. Why is this?

How were you able to selectively add EQ, i.e.: low pass to the single gal? I've been trying to do that but I'm unable to select portions of the audio track to add/subtract any effects.

Amplify effect here is defaulted to 100%.  While it can be made louder, your project is already loud enough.  Can't say why you see "10" on your Mac.

To Normalize is to adjust the volume so that the loudest peak is equal to (or a percentage of) the maximum signal that can be used in digital audio. It won't hurt to utilize that.

To add effects to the single, single her out by splitting at the start and end of each of her sound bites.  Select the newly split-out clips, click the FX button on any one of them, program the desired effects, then click the fourth button from the left on the effects toolbar, which will apply the effects to all selected clips.

Nothing special done in the export of your project.  Just mp4 with the default and suggested settings

Think you just might have something there 'fly.'

In Windows the slides do display, but the opener is often distorted when 'auto' creates the export as lossless.

This happens in several recent VP versions. Off (Re-encode Video) instead and the slide is clean.
