When I drag an audio file into the "Drag and drop your audio clips here to mix", I expect the filename to be showing instead of "Audio Track 4".

The same discussion applies to videos.

The problem with using a file name on a track is that there can be many clips on the same track.

The file name can be revealed with a mouseover pop-up in the sequence.

If you right click the Audio Track where it currently shows Audio Track 2 (3,4 etc.) you will see the option to rename the track.....

    

....but it will refer to the whole track and the track only.   e.g. Audio Track 2 becomes ON THE TOWN. Names of individual clips though will appear with the mouseover action described in the previous post. The rename of the particular Track(s) is conserved with the saved Project.
