When I add a still image to its own track, it splits the audio file that's on its own separate track

Hi. 

I opened up the software and understand the basic functions. 

However, I add the audio track, which is a 4 minute song on its own track. 

I then beginning still images on a separate track. The problem is, the first few images

sit fine, but once I start adding more, where I place the image, the audio splits directly 

below on its own track. 

Is there a way to lock the audio track so that this doesn't happen? Or is there something

else I should be doing?

That isn't happening here.  Dropped a song to the audio track, then began adding still images, one-by-one, to the video track just above and the audio wasn't affected.

This with the latest version.  For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.

Click the lock icon to the left of the audio track, to lock it.  If there is no icon, right-click in that area and LOCK TRACK.
