krandall
Hello, I noticed that changing the setting in Video quality / Bitrate, the size of the exported file is always the same. is it a bug? These are the main settings: https://gyazo.com/d50a8ee558b19434f7f77e5caa47d9a5 And this is the box of values I try to choose, but all generate an 8mb file: https://gyazo.com/f4c50d216fc6c2ad1e765c67e7e78c06 I use the latest versio 7.30 Thankyou, Fabio
borate
Appears to be working. Pay little mind to the estimated size. Right-to-left, the results of an AVI as exported at 1280 x 720 Mp4. Both source and result used the H264 codec. default (file size - 0 compression), medium (average - 56 compression) low (smaller - 27% compression) file size settings
Nationalsolo
Hi With mp4 export the indicated estimated final video size doesn't change with the Quality setting (so it seems) but does so if the resolution in the export settings is altered. I exported a short mp4 clip at each of the quality settings and the size of the exported clip remained the same. As Borate says I would ignore the estimated value as it using Lossless export setting will reduce it but going back to Auto detect setting does not return it to the former value so it is unreliable. Nevertheless all my exported mp4 files ended up the same size and quality despite the setting. Exporting as an avi the quality settings work as expected. borate
Strange. Using beta v7.31, tested several Mp4 exports, using H264 (AVC) with no resolution changes. For each, the chosen level of quality resulted in a different file size. From right to left, default, medium, low.
krandall
Hi Very strange I tried 2 times right now and on the same file, and it worked correctly only once.
borate
Spooky, and it isn't even Halloween. Tested with yet another file, downloaded from here. Right: default; left, medium; center, low.
Nationalsolo
Hi Hmmmm...Version 7.30 mp4 export of an Mp4 clip 17.4 MB gave these results...Estimated 12.01MB Settings H264 Lossless Resolution Auto detect HQ..... 16.8 MB DQ......16.8 MB MQ.....16.8MB VLQ....16.8 MB........ Similar results with another clip......... Changing that quality setting made no difference, (and estimate size remained the same as well (and too low.) Here are the export windows for HQ and Very Low Quality.....in both the estimated size is 12.01 MB Changing the resolution alters the estimated size though (logically). borate
Ignoring estimated size, a 25MB Mp4 video exported with v7.31 at 1280 x 720 Mp4 H264 (AVC). Unable to make it fail here... Default: 8.09; Medium 5.37; Very Low, 2.12.
