Dazzray
Is it possible to export a full-HD 1920x1080 file to DVD using VideoPad (so that the file on DVD is still 1920x1080)? I just burned a DVD from such a file, but the resultant file on the disc was reduced to 720x480. The video file to be exported is quite small (104 MB) and would fit on DVD in full 1920 resolution. Is there a way to tell VP to retain the full resolution?
borate
Take a look here. You can record a VIDEO file to DVD media at any resolution. This is a data file, unlike a DVD movie. Don't expect it to be playable on a standalone player. It will do fine on a PC.
Dazzray
Yes, I'm aware that a data DVD can be burned. But, alas, I do need a movie disc that's playable. I've read somewhere that it is possible to burn a 1920x1080 DVD movie disc, as long as the file is small enough to fit in the available space. Nationalsolo
Hi The maximum resolution of a DVD movie is 720 x 480 pixels It takes about two gigabytes to store one hour of average video. VP sets this automatically but prompts for NTSC or PAL format as the resolution of each is slightly different. (PAL is slightly wider) Nat
