Henry1999
I am using Axon (version 1.09) with 15 extensions (primarily Grandstream model GXP2000 and Grandstream Budgetone 102), a few Linksys SP3102's (for outgoing faxes) and Linksys PAP2T units (to regular old phone sets). I am having some trouble with calls dropping and hearing one side of the conversation, even if only one call is in progress. I understand this is likely resolved with port forwarding on my router. My confusion is with exactly what ports should be forwarded. I have a Linksys RV082 router, which has port forwarding (5060-5099 and 8000-8050) to my Axon computer located at 10.10.10.125. By the way, this router also allows me to create rules for bandwidth management, whereby I can establish a minimum of 100 kb of upstream and 100 kb of downstream bandwidth is reserved for these ports. My confusion arises with TCP versus RTP and UDP. In Axon I have Sip port set to 5060, and the RTP port set to 8000. Are both these ports UDP? My delimma is: When I setup port forwarding, do I use the following rules? UDP 5060-5099 to 10.10.10.125 UDP 8000-8050 to 10.10.10.125 Do I also need to setup any TCP port forwarding such as? TCP 5060-5099 to 10.10.10.125 TCP 8000-8050 to 10.10.10.125 If there are more port forwarding rules, which I need, I am unaware of them; and I would appreciate any additional guidance. Thanks, Henry
ahoman
If you just want to make it works, then... open the following ports: 5060-5999 8000-65535 Because some softphone initiate the login at random ports, I use X-Lite and the login look like below (the red one is the login port used): sip:101@219.79.xxx.xxx:42712;rinstance=4917e3e329138985 expires at 02:57:
