johntde
This concerns a very old WavePad, v. 4.25 free version, which has worked brilliantly for the last seven or eight years. It does everything I want, or rather it DID everything I want until about five days ago. It now will not let me save any mp3 files. Every time I try to do this I get the message 'Unable to create file [file name] for saving'. It has never done this before. What has happened, and how do I fix it? Coincidentally, I only came across this problem after I'd installed ExpressZip. All help gratefully received.
n1x1
For testing purposes try using a different file format and check the result.
johntde
Thanks! First an apology. It's v. 4.52, not v. 4.25. Sorry! I've tried saving in wav and wma. Both of these work fine. It's mp3 that doesn't.
vapors
There are many things to spur off this questioning. First off the top of my head regards It now will not let me save any mp3 files. Are you working with an mp3 file to start, or are you working in another format and wishing to save a file as an mp3?
johntde
I've tried both. Starting with an mp3 and trying to save it as an mp3 with a new name, and starting with a wav and trying to save it as an mp3. Neither works. Same message in each case. n1x1
Hi, I recommend creating a ticket for the technical support team and sharing the file with them for further testing on their end.
