It keeps saying the audio is over peak limit

When it's not high at all, the 2nd track is at 50% & track 1 is at 100% & my laptop is at 50% - not sure what my external speakers are at since it's just a knob.

This is the 2nd time it's happened & then the first time it happened when I reopened the project again the next day, the warning was gone even though I tried that & it didn't work that same night.

Here's how...

  •     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
  •     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
  •     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
  •     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

          *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

OPTIONS | MEDIA image.png is checked in v13.49, and narration is okay.  The red over-peak square isn't a concern.

The woman at about 16:00 could stand boosting of 150% via the AMPLIFY effect.  It's noted that you reduced the level of track 2 music, which is pleasing.

There were audio level irregularities in some earlier VP versions, which may be at the root of what you report.  Try UNchecking the above option and reloading the project.  Then you may have to adjust individual clips via AMPLIFY.

Ok, I already exported the video b/c I needed to get this out ASAP.

I hate it when one clip is so much louder than the others.

Is there nothing I can do (easily) to make them all the same volume?

So are these audio issues still a problem in my version?

Since this is already done, I just need to know what to do moving forward.

Thanks

In the current release, with the 'Auto normalize' box checked, there should be more uniformity when loading files, necessitating less individual adjustment.

Audio issues may have been a contributor to this issue in your version.

When the project is complete, save it and load into the latest release to see if there's an improvement.  Be sure the "Auto normalize" box is checked.
