Pepsi123
So just as title says basically, the file is in MP3 format and I can listen to it through Groove Music on my PC, but it won't play on Express Scribe. It shows how many minutes long the file is (i.e. 23:46), but it's just silent, no audio. I've tried Windows Media Player as well and it comes up with a message saying "The file that you are attempting to play has an extension (.MP3) that does not match the file format. Playing the file may result in unexpected behaviour." So I click on the play anyway option, it starts to play on there but crashes every time. Do you think the issue is with the file rather than Express Scribe? I've tried converting it to a different format, but that doesn't work either. n1x1
Hi @Pepsi123, According to the error message you reported "that does not match the file format" we can come to the conclusion that the problem is related to the file and not to the program. It may be that your .mp3 file is not a proper .mp3 file. In order to confirm this assumption you can try to upload any other file and check the result. Also, you can contact NCH technical support and send them the file you had issues with for further testing, here is the link: https://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html
