Cannot lower walls and objects below ground?

I am stuck just 1 day after purchasing.

Is there a way to put a pool lower then ground level? My pool in below ground elevation and I cannot create a pool on any other level?

When you create a project on the right side, you would have the levels of the ground. Make sure that you are selecting the correct one. Also if you are selecting the tool for the Pool, as per default this would be stuck on the Ground level. 

Try to reinstall the software o create a new project to confirm that is not a glitch on the previous installation.
