addressed Slow Preview with Reversed Clips

I am making a video where the clips are reversed. Once I have reversed the clip, the preview is so slow that I can't do anything. Is there a fix for this, or do I have to export each clip, and reimport it as a separate video, which is rather tedious?

I found a partial solution, using an SSD. But I also want to speed up the clip, and when I do that the preview starts buffering again. So suggestions still welcome!

What version of Videopad is being used?  Try the latest 64-bit release.  For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

After a speed change, allow the clips to fully cache (green line completes above the thumbnails).  Preview should then be smooth.

Use the 64-bit version, linked above, if possible.  Video editing is resource intensive.  Higher-end hardware is recommended, especially for very high-def or lengthy projects.

Thanks, but I can't justify buying the full program for the amount that I use it. The Basic version is fine for what I do.
