Merging of two businesses into one

I had a business which was part of a franchise.  When the franchisor liquidated, I bought my company out of the franchise and rebranded it under a new independent name.  I have also kept all my sales and purchases for each company in Express Accounts but under their separate name.

What I need to know now, is am I able to merge both those companies books into one set of accounts and if so, how do I do it?

Express Accounts does not include options to merge businesses. If you need to import data from one business to another, you can export your customers, invoices, items, etc; in CSV format to be able import them into the other business

There is an option to create Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement for multiple business using Consolidation report. The report can be found among others Reports from the main navigation bar.
