frustratedcanadian
I tried to take a freeze frame image of the last frame, and I get this error: "There was an error creating your snapshot. Please make sure the timeline cursor is positioned over a video or image file and you can see it in the Sequence Preview display." If I choose the 2nd to last frame, it does take a snapshot but of a much earlier frame.
borate
There's a little bug there that has been reported. To overcome it, use the left arrow key to toggle back one frame. Then use the right arrow key to toggle to the end frame. Now try your snapshot.
frustratedcanadian
Thanks. I tried that, but it's still giving me a frame from much earlier.
borate
Humm...not the case here, after repeated tests. Use this version instead, and you shouldn't have the issue. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
frustratedcanadian
So I downloaded that version, but the preview doesn't work at all. It's just frozen on one frame, and I can't use the frame by frame function, play, or anything.
borate
Something is messed up. Close the program. Then use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all files in these two folders... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" Reinstall 10.96. Report back. If the issue isn't solved we'll move on to the next suggestion.
frustratedcanadian
It's not giving me the error anymore, however it's still not taking the correct screenshot.
borate
Looks as if this issue is resolved in v11.43 beta, a test version. No urgency to install, of course.
LaRa
If I may add my two bits...In the earlier versions, VP was not giving the desired screenshot if the speed of the video clip had been altered. In the latest version (v11.45 64 bit) both the end-of-video snapshot problem and the accuracy problem of the screenshot of a speed-altered videoclip have been addressed.
