Bug in freeze frame image from preview?

I tried to take a freeze frame image of the last frame, and I get this error:

"There was an error creating your snapshot. Please make sure the timeline cursor is positioned over a video or image file and you can see it in the Sequence Preview display."

If I choose the 2nd to last frame, it does take a snapshot but of a much earlier frame.

Humm...not the case here, after repeated tests.  Use this version instead, and you shouldn't have the issue.

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

Something is messed up.

Close the program.  Then use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all files in these two folders...

"C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components"

"C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components"

Reinstall 10.96.  Report back.  If the issue isn't solved we'll move on to the next suggestion.

  • 1 month later...

If I may add my two bits...In the earlier versions, VP was not giving the desired screenshot if the speed of the video clip had been altered. In the latest version (v11.45 64 bit) both the end-of-video snapshot problem and the accuracy problem of the screenshot of a speed-altered videoclip have been addressed.
