Video_maker100
Hi, Upgraded from 32 Bit Version 8 to 64 Bit v11.18 yesterday, fully paid licence. I have used Videopad for a few years now so would like to think I know what I'm doing. I created a 9 minute 4K video with 1 music track. Went to export as I usually do and get the message "failed could not initialize video output" in yellow text. I have uninstalled and installed again - no luck. My machine is more than capable - Intel 8700K, 16GB RAM, 3GB graphics card. Any ideas appreciated. Many thanks EDIT - just tried 1080p export - exact same error message. borate
Suggestions... Install this version. If no improvement close Videopad. Then use Windows Explorer (file manager) to delete all files in these folders... C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components Again install Videopad from the link above. You'll need internet access when you do so. The components will be automatically downloaded when you export again. Be sure that your firewall doesn't block VideoPad from communicating with the server. Check those folders to see if files have reappeared.
Max80402010
Hello borate, I have the same error message on an older vers VP. It is also a Pro license although reinstalled on new hd after failure. Would your solution also work for me? Seems like I only need the components you mentioned. borate
No harm in trying it. Check back with your results. Newer versions can also be tested, even if they haven't been licensed. Retain your installer and registration info.
