JacquieM
Hi all, I've been using the free version of Express Scribe for Mac for quite a while and am currently about three quarters of the way through a trancription job. This morning, when I tried to pick up where I left off, I got a message telling me that my free trial of Express Scribe Pro had ended and I would now need to buy it to continue. I don't need the pro version (and wasn't aware that's what I was using), I just want the basic version and from what I'm reading on the website, it's still available for free. So why can't I get it? I'll be happy to pay for the basic version if I know that it's not going to expire after a year. I'd also feel a little miffed if I paid for it and then found out that I could still somehow use the free version - money is definitely tight! Can anyone help? Thanks all, JacquieM
Fred28
When you use the free version you will be asked from time to time to confirm you are using it for non-commercial home use only. If you close out of this message or choose the wrong answer the program changes to the trial version which will eventually ask you to purchase. You will need to uninstall the program and then install again from this link to see if it will allow you to use the free version again:https://www.nch.com.au/scribe/scribemaci.zip If it asks to purchase you will need to acquire a license to keep using it. You can purchase a basic or Pro license here: https://secure.nch.com.au/cgi-bin/register.exe?software=scribe
