burn dvd to play on tv/video player

I am trying to burn a dvd that I can play on my home video.  The tracks I am copying are mp4, but express player converts  them to .vob etc which won't play on my video.  How can I get it to leave the files as mp4?

In this case, selecting the option VideoDVD, what you are doing is creating a DVD that would contain the information, the burning process would generate a folder for Video and a folder for Audio like another DVD (You can check it on another DVD) Usually all the DVD players can reproduce this. But if you would like to get the video as MP4 what you can do is select DataDVD and add the files, at the en the DVD would give you the option to select the file that you would like to play and would keep the MP4 format.
