Ffranny
Being able to step back is fine, but it would be really helpful if we could *see* a list of the actions we're stepping back through. Photoshop has this, it's extremely useful -- not everyone can remember how many steps we've done (or what they were) since our last good version. You'd probably have to call it something else for trademark reasons, but it would be great to have. http://www.photoshopforphotographers.com/3101-1901/Help_guide/tp/History_brush.html
borate
File a suggestion... http://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software Though it certainly wouldn't be practical to SAVE each time an edit is made, do save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then the project can be restored to the state it was in when the file was written, simply by double-clicking a VPJ file. Nationalsolo
Hi Note that a saved project (vpj file) does not save the editing steps you made when you reload it. So, if, for example you......Loaded some clips to the timeline, added a blank to the end and then split a couple of clips.....Whilst VP was open you could step back through these moves with the undo/redo arrows. If though, you Saved the Project As and got a uniquely names vpj file and then reloaded it, there would be no undo steps available. The project reloads as though you were just starting again at the point where it was left. Nat
