Video distorting upon import

Been using video pad on and off and it's not been without its frustrations but whatever, it normally got the job done. Until now I used it on OK footage, twitch clips, screen records on low grade etc. I recently got a go pro and worked out settings for better screen recordings and now when I try to import the videos to videopad I get all this horrible distortion in the videos that is not there in the original clips. I got it 'fixed' once of a fishing clip of my dad but it took like 5 computer reboots and making sure my computer was running the bare minimal to function so it has as much processing as possible.
So it seems temperamental at best. I got a game glitch I want to send to a game forums for a bug report, but it doesnt need the FULL match so I want to simply throw it in vidpad, chop off the front and back, then export the clip. no 'editing' nothing fancy, just clip clip done. But I've tried everything and I keep getting this pixeling of video. Yes it happens if i export the finished product.

Running V 8.00
I've tried to google for answers but all I'm finding are Audio distortions and glitching and the audio in this is surprisingly fine, just not the video clips.

The file types vary from .mp4 and .flv both give the same problems.
So far I haven't been able to 'luck out' on the turn it off and back on again like I did with the fish clip. Is there a file size limit where video pad just gives up? file size is 5.12gb and a basic screen record.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated thank you in advance.

There's no limit.  Video editing is resource intensive:  what are your PC's specs?

Submit a sample that exhibits the pixelation and we'll check it out.  Upload to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shareable, public link that anyone can access and copy it.  Paste the link here or privately, via the Personal Messenger.  Click the folder at the top-right of the window in this forum.

Verify that your video driver and Direct-X are up to date...
