RonS
So now that I purchased a registration code for Express Rip because it worked great before I spent the money, now I find out that www.freedb.org does not exist anymore. Did I just throw my money away or is NCH going to update their program to reference MusicBrainz?
MikeCNorsie
Same issue, just updated and bought the new version but now have no access to freedb and paid for the extra for the online database extra so what now?
aardvarkleader
Any plans to resolve this problem or should I start the refund process? Worked fine when I bought it a week ago and now it's not very useful.
yobar23
Yup. Got an alert that my free was running out and I decided to drop the US$20 for the registration. Just did that half an hour ago. I pop the new CD in, that arrived yesterday, and I get the "check your connection" warning. I bought the Ripper because it had access to the database, unlike the ripper that came with my Win7. Do you think they may update the software to use something like MusicBrainz?
yobar23
Found a tagger to use until Express Rip is/if updated for a new db. https://picard.musicbrainz.org/ I was going to play to Outer Worlds, but may end up playing with Picard.

Cav
Checking back after 6 months to see if the "freedb" issue has been fixed. Help screen still lists it, although the URL was taken down long ago.
