destination folder

hello tried to record for hours got message : unable to write to destination folder please go to the options dialog and select correct destination folder I made folders with different names and locations still the same result. could anybody help ?

I have the same problem when trying to do screen recording, I have been troubleshooting for several hours and THERE'S NOTHING IN THE FAQ OR SUPPORT PAGE

the location you have selected is a local folder, network folder or external drive? Do you have permission to write to those folders? If you are using your work computer, you may want to confirm with your local IT that you have read/write rights on those folders. Do you get the error as soon as you start your recordings? You can try to reinstall the program https://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/debutpsetup.exe

Maybe obvious .. but if you create different folders to send your recordings to, do you use Options ...output to direct Debut to the required  folder. You may need to do this when re-opening Debut.

Error Message:

"Unable to write to the destination folder. Please go to the Options dialog and select correct destination folder on the Output page."

Solution:

You need to turn off "controlled folder access" in your virus and threat protection settings in Windows.

Once you turn it off - everything works like a charm.
