saving project to video file

I've been editing clips on the free version and now it suddenly says I'm trying to import to a paid format and would I like to upgrade VideoPad to enable it. I've followed the same steps after each clip. The only difference I can think of is this is about a 6 minute clip whereas the others have been around 1 minute.  Any suggestions?

You can test whether other export formats will succeed.  Try AVI or mpg, for starters.  Note the various encoder options in each.

VP 'free' is a trial that disables some features after a period of time.  To get them back, purchase and register.  A 50% discount is reportedly in effect.
