Bandonna
I have 11 small clips I am trying to combine into one video. Most of the adds and edits worked as expected. But once I got to clip 9 or so, while I am playing back to see if edits are needed, I keep getting the message "Building Preview, Please Wait." The earlier clips did this for a short time, but then the preview was generated and there were no further issues. But the last few clips I am trying to add just will not finish building the preview. I thought it might be a processor issue, so I closed out of all programs except VideoPad. Still no luck. My question is, can I use the combined clips and save as a new video, even if the preview has not finished? I want to create a video that can be copied to a flash drive, and then viewed on someone else's computer. What format should I save the video in to ensure it is readable by others? borate
Mp4 is a popular choice, using "auto-match" defaults, and the project may indeed export even though preview was choppy. To get to the root of the "building preview" issue please share your project, and someone will take a look. What version are you using? Nationalsolo
Hi The incidence of the "Building Preview" message maybe reduced if you make the resolution of the preview display lower. (If not already done.) Options/Display/Preset. try 512 x 288 (16:9). Nat
Bandonna
The export went fine, no issues with playback. Thanks everyone!
Eric the Green
I just started and opened a video from my computer to show and play, and the screen keeps flashing "building preview please wait" How do I get this to stop?
borate
Wait for the green line above the timeline to complete. Reduce preview resolution. Related info here. If no joy, upload and share the project so others can troubleshoot it. Eric the Green
Thanks borate. I also could not find an answer to why only some of the pictures in a video are shown on the timeline of the clip preview. Shouldn't they all be there? (I searched and the forum program just brings me back to this thread)
borate
Normally, thumbs of all clips should appear. Switch to Storyboard mode. Each clip will be shown independently.
Nationalsolo
Hi Eric If you are in Clip Preview only the thumbnails of the selected CLIP are shown beneath the preview window. The Sequence Preview does not show any thumbnails. Nat
